[Dad and Layla messagedas well. | would have gone with them if | didn't have classes.]

[I'm staying because | want to and because it's my responsibility.]

Ivy had no classes in the evening and was going to go hto practice her breathing and pronunciation, but she did not tell

Robert that. Ever since she heard about the operation, she had been in a great mood.

Ivy scratched her head, feeling lost.

She had been with her family to Avonsville during her summer vacation but had not gone out since her term started.

Ivy did not have much of a tolerance when it cto the cold, and though she thought Robert to be the sas her, he rarely

bundled himself up in thick clothes, even during winter.

[It's boring to stay home! Why don't | take you on a tour of Dad's office?]

[Sure! There should be no one there at night, though!]

After the afternoon classes ended, Ivy ran out of the campus and saw Robert's car parked across the street.

She recognized the car only because Robert was standing next to it.

Robert had driven a luxurious sports car the last the picked Ivy up from school, and Ivy had mentioned that a lot of people had

stared at her.

He had taken note of what she said and cin an ordinary-looking car instead.

Ivy went into the car. "Is this your new car, Robert? | haven't seen you driving it before."

Robert gazed at the car. "I borrowed this from a friend. You said that my car was too flashy, right? All the cars in our garage are

flashy, so | borrowed one from my friend."

Ivy stared at him in shock.

"You haven't eaten, right? Let's eat!"
