MMORPG : Rebirth Of The Strongest Vampire God-Novel
Chapter 671 Mira's Demands
DarkSorrow entered Max's office for official work and was surprised to find his lord surrounded by books.
Scribbled notes littered all around the room as the lord who held a pencil and was surrounded by papers looked like a scholar or historian who was trying to decode some profound mystery.
Glancing at the titles, DarkSorrow quickly realised that his lord was preparing for the raid against Satan and his forces, as the books he was reading were about the different species in his army.
' The complete guide on Wraiths '
' The anatomy of Hellhounds '
' The seven tentacled beast '
' A guide on necromantic troops and their powers '
' A guide on desert warfare '
' Ambush tactics in desert environment '
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThese were only some of the books DarkSorrow was able to scan for as there were countless more that were open or lying at odd angles making it difficult for him to judge the title, however, looking at the state of the room he understood that his lord was trying hard to expand his knowledge base about the opponent and the terrain that they might have to fight on.
A tinge of respect bubbled within DarkSorrow's heart as he realised that his Lord was always working hard, on and off the battlefield.
" You summoned me? My lord? " He said softly as only after he spoke did Max realise that he had entered the room as he was completely absorbed with his reading otherwise.
" Agh yes, Commander DarkSorrow, this is a sheet where I've compiled all the known enemy troops that we might face while attacking Satan and what are their weaknesses.
I want you to pass it down to all the captains and educate them properly about these and then ask them to do the same with their units…. " Max said as he handed DarkSorrow a few sheets of paper.
A quick glance at the sheet let DarkSorrow know that it was a very detailed and comprehensive report as he bowed and thanked Max for it.
Knowing the weaknesses of enemy troops and having such literacy would undoubtedly help save a lot of lives and improve the efficiency of the army. It was a great initiative by their Lord.
As he was about to leave, DarkSorrow saw Mira walking into the Lord's room and inadvertently shuddered when he met her gaze.
DarkSorrow was a battle hardened warrior and it was difficult to faze him, yet today when he looked into Mira's eyes he felt his heart rate increase as he felt a suffocating pressure that forced his brain to shift to survival mode.
Although he couldn't wrap his head around what exactly had changed about Mira, he could feel that between the last time that he saw her injured, and today, she had increased her strength by leaps and bounds becoming infinitely more menacing than she was before.
The last word that DarkSorrow heard before closing the door behind his back was his lord saying ' Congratulations…. ' however he couldn't hear a word more.
*******
( Max and Mira )
" Congratulations on being promoted to tier6 " Max said as he met Mira's intense gaze towards him.
" Congratulations to you too then I guess, it's only because of you that I reached the tier limit so fast " Mira said with sarcasm as for some reason she seemed dissatisfied with Max.
" You're angry with me…. But why? " Max said sounding perplexed as he introspected reasons behind why Mira would be mad at him but could not find any.
" There is a meeting today Max. I'm sure you know that my mother has joined our cause because the rebelling dragon's have joined Satan.
Today she and the dragon elders meet Regus and his council to discuss strategy.
Why are you not present in that meeting?" Mira asked as she placed one of her feet on Max's shoulders.
Max, who was seated on the ground amongst a pile of books, could see all the sensitive parts of Mira's body while in such a position, as he also got a whiff of Mira's scent which blanked his mind for a second.
" Why am I not in that meeting? " Max murmured as he took a good look at the outline of the object in question before realising that he was getting distracted from the task at hand as he steeled his mind to get back to the topic at hand.
" I'm not in that meeting because I'm not invited in that meeting.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmI'm not the King of vampires yet Mira, Regus Aurelius is " Max replied once he got his wits back together as Mira slid his leg even further up, lowering her eye level to meet Max's as she said " I hate those rebels Max.
Just like you need to kill Lucifer to avenge your brother, I need to kill the rebels for their part in betraying my father.
I need you to make sure that happens.
I'm fighting with the Bloodfall clan instead of the dragon's for you-
You need to make this happen for me "
Mira made a selfish demand from Max, however, she was justified in doing so.
She had unwaveringly given her loyalty and powers for Max to use, despite her status as the dragon princess.
Now that it was time for her to get revenge for the death of her father, Max needed to at least ensure that he was giving Mira the best odds possible to achieve that outcome.
He needed to be at the spot where the meeting was taking place….
" Fine, I'll make my way into the council room somehow " Max said as he gave Mira her assurance that he would be at the spot where the big decisions were being taken.
The light faction had currently destroyed 87 enemy orbs while the dark faction had destroyed 81.
It was only a matter of 7-10 days before the next disc raid was triggered, and everyone needed to be ready to attack since any disc could be activated.
While the vampires were only preparing for the outcome of ' If ' it was their chance to attack.
Little did they know that it was all but set in stone that they would be the ones to attack.
