Chapter 769 Disgraceful Act

Yesterday, the Massey family’s bodyguards, who were in Southlake City, reported Caspian’s rescue

mission to Logan.

Upon hearing this, Logan became even more convinced that Caspian and Sherry would be in danger in

Southlake City, so he flew there again to bring them back.

“We’re having dinner. Not meeting guests now.” Caspian walked out and closed the door behind him.

“Sherry, I’ve reserved my family’s best property for you. No one will disturb you. It’s a standalone place

with caretakers,” Logan added from outside the door.

Witnessing Logan’s humility, Denzel felt a pang of sympathy.

Logan was known for his stubbornness and pride. He rarely lowered himself like this.

“Caspian, do you think-”

Before Sherry could finish her sentence, Caspian stood up again. He took out his Diatanium dagger

and opened the door, pointing it at Logan.

The sudden surge of killing intent made Denzel shiver, and he immediately stood before Logan.

“Sir, please don’t get so worked up. Let’s talk things over calmly,” Denzel said nervously.

“I’ll say it again. Leave now, or face the consequences.” Caspian’s words carried a hint of menace.

Denzel was so intimidated by Caspian’s presence that he could hardly catch his breath.

Logan pushed Denzel aside and addressed Caspian, “Caspian, if you hate me that much, then go

ahead and do it. As long as you can forgive me.”

With that, Logan closed his eyes.

“You want to do things the hard way, right?”

Caspian gritted his teeth, suddenly brandishing his Dlatanium dagger. His great force caused a gust of

wind to appear, almost knocking Denzel over.

Yet he managed to stand in front of Logan in time.

Seeing this, Sherry exclaimed In shock, and others rushed out, too.

They all thought Caspian just wanted to drive Logan away, but they never expected him to strike.

Casplan’s dagger shot toward Logan. In his desperation, Denzel pushed Logan

away.

At the critical moment, Caspian quickly withdrew his attack, avoiding a tragedy. Otherwise, Denzel

would have been killed.

Caspian’s sudden aggression caught Logan off guard. He hadn’t expected Caspian to attack him.

“Logan, are you hurt?” Sherry rushed to Logan’s side, showing her concern.

Logan shook his head. Although he had been a little furious carlier, receiving Sherry’s concern made

everything worth it.

Seizing the opportunity, Logan took Sherry’s hands and looked at her affectionately. “I’m fine. Just a

little startled.”

“Don’t blame Caspian. He’s been adopted since childhood. Neither of us has been by his side, so it’s

normal for him to have some resentment,” Sherry said, tears welling up in her eyes.

“I won’t blame him. I just hope he can understand and trust me. One day, he’ll understand the truth and

acknowledge me as his father. Even if I have to wait until the day I die-”

Before Logan could finish his sentence, Sherry covered his mouth. “Don’t say such pessimistic words.”

Suddenly, a warm surge of emotion flooded Logan’s heart, reminiscent of the time when he first met

Sherry in his youth.

Sherry felt shy from his stare in front of so many youngsters. She immediately. pushed him away.

“Go now, or Caspian will get angry again,” Sherry said, pushing Logan away again.

Helpless, Logan could only wave goodbye and leave with Denzel..

After leaving Riverside Villa, Logan remained silent.

Denzel thought Logan had already done his best, but Casplan remained indifferent.

and Madam Lynch,” Denzel said.

some bodyguards and stay here. Ensure Caspian’s safety,” Logan ordered.

Kylen Hunter was Denzel’s nephew and the leader of the Masseys‘ bodyguards.

“Find someone to spread the news that Caspian stabbed me with a dagger,” Logan said.

“Are you serious, Mr. Massey? Won’t it affect his reputation?” Denzel asked, puzzled.

“Caspian is probably just putting on a show. He must have his reasons for doing this,” Logan said.

Denzel nodded in response. Although he didn’t understand, he still followed Logan’s instructions.
