Chapter 495 Impersonating the God of War’s Wife

Upon hearing Sylvia’s warning, the armored battalion immediately stood in front of Willow.

Brandishing their weapons, they were ready to sacrifice themselves to protect Lord Caspian’s

wife.

Macy had been keeping watch of their surroundings. She fired the first shot the moment she saw the

attackers. As a seasoned soldier, her keen perception and insight were far from

ordinary.

The sound of gunshots echoed in the streets.

Scared stiff, Willow and Zoey quickly crouched down. The civilians on the streets ran away in

terror.

Sylvia immediately entered combat mode. As a general officer, she showed no signs of panic in the

face of danger. With her precise marksmanship, each of her bullets found its mark, killing

the attackers.

With their fast reaction, the armored soldiers were also not to be underestimated. However, a

few of them suffered severe gunshot wounds to protect Willow.

After engaging in a few minutes of fierce battle, the attackers were wiped out.

“It’s just some spies. There’s nothing to fear,” Sylvia said indifferently. “Could you do me at favor, Ms.

Sanders? Please clean up the scene.”

“Huh?”

Joey was rendered speechless by Sylvia’s words. The inspector general was just about to become a

professional mortician.

She had hardly done any real work since she was appointed.

“Everyone, clean up the scene immediately. Don’t scare the civilians,” Joey ordered. Anyway, this was

something she had to do.

Joey and the others left after the situation had been handled.

“Don’t be sad, Willow. Our mission is to ensure your safety. Even I would sacrifice my life to protect

you,” Sylvia comforted Willow after seeing her cry.

“But I’m just an ordinary citizen. Even if I’m Caspian’s wife, surely there’s no need for sacrifice your life

to ensure my safety…” Willow wept.

floor. This was a very dangerous situation for them. If they were not careful, they might get shot.

Willow, Sylvia, and the others heard the gunshots coming from the villa. They became anxious

as well.

Sylvia acknowledged Macy’s skills, but their opponents had come well–prepared. Judging from the

“Willow, maybe you’re the God of War’s wife! I had the feeling that Macy was being odd!” Zoey

suddenly exclaimed.

“What? How’s that possible?” Willow asked, visibly surprised.

How could Caspian be the God of War?

“Who else if it isn’t you? It’s definitely not me!” Zoey said.

“Caspian told me that he’s a general officer, not the God of War,” Willow asked.

Zoey began to ponder. Suddenly, she remembered something that had happened before.

She said in a surprised tone, “That’s right! Back then when we came back from Dragon’s Hill, I think he

told us that he was the Diatoran God of War! But both of us said that he was just bluffing. Eventually,

he changed his claim and said that he was a general officer!”
