Chapter 2083 It Is All in the Past Now
Those partners were mostly young couples huddled together in pairs, whispering sweet nothings to each other.
They were probably here for a place to have their dates.
Shifting her gaze back to Ian, Cindy had a sour face when she said, "You better not do what they are doing. Don't go
picking up nasty habits like this."
Ian couldn't help but laugh when he saw the look on her face. "You look exactly like my elementary school teacher
earlier," he mused.
She also couldn't control her laughter, but she commented, "Someone had told me before that I look like I would
make a good teacher. After that, I gave it a thought. No matter how bratty a child is, they are still the apple of
someone's eye. It didn't seem right to me to be both strict and carefree with the children, so no, I would rather not
put myself in that kind of trouble."
He reached out to caress her belly while saying, "You only have to worry about our own brat, then," he mused.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWhen they did the deed earlier, he didn't wear protection again. She had wanted to remind him about it, but
thought it was pointless since they were already a married couple now.
Furthermore, she subconsciously knew that she was at an age where she wanted to have a child with him.
Not to mention, she had also been overly suspicious about Ian lately. If they had a child together, it would make
their life together more stable where she would feel secure about their relationship.
They continued to talk for a while more before the movie finally started to play. "No more talking. Let's enjoy the
movie." She put a finger to her lips and silenced him with a hush.
Since Cindy had a somber and serious expression, Ian was itching to do something at that moment.
It didn't matter what she did—he was excited by her every action and he longed to get his hands on and all over
her. His body was fatigued, but his head and heart was still energetic when it came to matters like this.
Ian obediently sat in his seat while facing the screen, but he was gazing at Cindy from the corner of his eye. She
was fully engrossed with what the screen played. Not only that, there were hints of sadness in her stern expression
as she watched the movie.
Patriotic movies would definitely talk about things like the hardships that their ancestors had to experience. For a
man as rational as Ian was, however, it was hard for him to relate to the emotions that movies like this were trying
to portray.
He was the type of person who thought that not one day came easy, and that was why every day should be lived to
the fullest.
Cindy's thinking was obviously different from his. She would start wiping the tears off her eyes whenever there was
a slightly more emotional scene.
On the other hand, he didn't even know what scene she saw that made her cry! Men and women really had their
differences in terms of their mentality.
Even though Ian didn't really understand, he automatically reached over to give Cindy a few comforting pats on her
shoulder when he saw how sad she looked as she cried.
He could see her red, teary eyes meekly looking at him when the lights from the screen shone on her face.
His heart immediately softened at her sight. Pulling her into a hug, he whispered to her, "It is all in the past now.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThose are things that happened a long, long time ago."
Cindy sighed without saying a word as she lay in his embrace.
The movie came to an end about 2 hours later. Some of the audience must have had enough of the movie when
they made a move before it ended whereas those who stayed behind began to chatter amongst themselves. There
probably weren't a lot of them who really paid attention to the movie.
Despite that, Cindy had patiently watched the whole thing from start to finish. Her eyes were still red when they
came out of the movie hall.
"Women can be rather emotional, huh?" Ian asked with a resigned smile.
She nodded and wiped her tears on his shirt before agreeing, "That is right. I don't know about other people, but
watching movies like this always reminds me of my childhood."
It wasn't a smooth sailing life when she was young. She was from a struggling family where her father was the sole
breadwinner who had to take care of his 2 children.
It was a pity that Anthony had already passed on by the time she could finally repay him. He could have seen her
and Ian together if only he had left a little later...
The thought of this gradually caused Cindy's mood to dip.
Ian held her hand as they walked out of the cinema since it was about time for them to have their dinner.
