Chapter 2122 Try to Put Some Distance
It was normal for the man to feel stressed. The woman in their relationship was considered more powerful than
him, so he already had a certain amount of stress because of that.
Coupled with the public opinion worsening instead of receding, the man probably felt anxious. Hence, his
increasingly bad temper was understandable.
Ian thought for a while and commented, "What do you think? If you're not disturbed by all those opinions, you
should come out and say something. It doesn't matter whether he brings it up or not; you still have to speak your
mind."
Valerie nodded. "I did. I told him that I still want to be with him."
Even though she could just tell the man about her feelings, she had to make it known to the public too.
Then, Ian frowned a little and added, "In that case, you can try seeing things from his point of view. Let's say you're
him, and your lover told you in private that they still want to be with you. However, they never express their

She was stunned for a while, and she pursed her lips in silence.
They were all adults, so he thought he shouldn't need to spell it out for her.
Valerie thought for a long while before nodding. "I see what you mean now. I'll find some time to have a proper talk
with him."
Ian couldn't help much since it was their private business. No matter how friendly they were, he shouldn't interfere
much in another person's relationship.
The two had only chatted so much before the director came over shortly, asking him to film another scene.
The director probably also knew that with Valerie's current condition, they couldn't get any satisfactory shots even if
she continued filming. Hence, he simply told her that she could rest for the day.
Ian's role had several scenes with the supporting characters, so they worked on that for the night.
As he had read the script beforehand, the filming of those scenes went quite well.
When it was time for another break, he returned to his rest area to find that Valerie was no longer there.
She had probably gone back to the hotel.
A resigned Ian shook his head, for relationships would hurt a person the most. Valerie used to be so talented at
acting and had exercised a lot of effort to improve her skills. At the very least, she had never caused such troubles
before this.
It was obvious how deeply her relationship had affected her.
He hadn't followed the gossip about her too closely, so he didn't know much about her lover. However, since she
had been in the entertainment industry for so long, she should have a discerning eye when it came to people.
The man she had fallen for probably wasn't too bad.
Ian had been resting for a while when the driver scooted over and said in a hushed voice, "I noticed that you've
been getting along with Valerie quite well these days. I keep seeing you two chatting in private."
As he turned to look at the driver, Ian was a little surprised. "How so? Even if we talk in private, we're just talking
about the filming."

Valerie had recently kept messing up her lines, so when they were filming a scene together, they would practice
their lines in private.
Still, they were doing it in the presence of the crew. There were so many people watching, so what could they
possibly pull off?
The driver pouted. "Well, I'm just reminding you. Try to create some distance between you two. You're both taken,
after all."
Ian couldn't help but laugh at those words, for he couldn't care less. "Fine, I got it. I'll remember that."
Meanwhile, Aurora had indeed signed a contract with Ian's company.
The company's plans for her were decent, and she herself said that they did it so that Ian would stay with them.
Meanwhile, Cindy didn't know if that really was the case. From what she knew, he was still hesitating about
renewing the contract.
Similarly, the company probably wasn't too sure what his take on the matter was. Nonetheless, Cindy was curious;
Ian had a discussion with Hannah at the company back then and Cindy wondered what they had talked about.
She never asked Ian about it, and he never offered to tell either. Judging by the company's actions, it seemed like
they hadn't quite convinced Ian to renew the contract yet.
