Chapter 2156 Cease All Work for Now
Cindy thought he was going too rough with her. She wanted to stop halfway through, but she hesitated. It had been
a while since she did it with Ian, so she could understand why he was so needy. In the end, she lowered her hand
and wrapped her arms around him instead.
The bathroom wasn't the best place to do this, so they ended quickly. Ian then took her out of the bathroom and
headed toward the bed. Cindy snapped out of it for a moment and pushed his chest. "Did you lock the door?"
Ian laughed. "Yeah, I did. Don't worry." He had locked the door when he took Cindy in. Even though he didn't think
Aurora would barge into their room, he still did it for Cindy. She could be a coward sometimes, and she would get

Good to hear. She put her hands on his chest. Like a kitten, she purred, "Be gentle. You were a bit rough back in the
bathroom."
Ian kissed her, whispering, "I am gentle."
Men and women were built differently. They could take different levels of punishment. What was gentle for Ian felt
like a full-throttle ramming session for Cindy. She eventually got so woozy that she couldn't even see the ceiling
clearly, even though she was staring at it with her eyes wide open. The world around her spun, and eventually, the
deed ended. She had no idea when it ended, but one thing for sure was that it had gone on for a long while. She
swore she had died a few times but was then resurrected by force just to die again. In the end, she closed her eyes,
letting her body slowly numb itself to the sensation, and she passed out eventually. Cindy didn't move much but was
exhausted nonetheless. So, she slept for a long time.
Ian had work to do, so he woke up early the next morning.
Cindy heard the shuffling sound as he got out of bed, but she only turned around, not even opening her eyes. She
muttered, "It's already morning?" It didn't feel like she had slept much. It felt like morning came right after she shut
her eyes just for a brief moment. Beset by exhaustion, she refused to move.
Ian grunted in response and went to the bathroom for a quick washing-up session. He then came back out to get
changed. Cindy had fallen asleep, and Ian realized it must've been because of him. He patted her head and gave
her a peck before leaving the room.
While Cindy went back to sleep, Aurora had already gotten up and gone to the kitchen to make breakfast. She
finished cooking right before Ian had to go to work and told him to have breakfast before heading out. Cindy wasn't

When they sat down around the table and had breakfast, she asked Ian about his plan. His contract would expire
soon, and so were most of the partnerships the company signed for him. Aurora wanted to know what he had in
mind next. Truth be told, Ian had nothing in mind. He just wanted to finish all his work and get some rest. He wanted
to cease all work for now, so he shook his head. "I'll stop working for a bit. After the contract expires, someone else
will take over."
Aurora thought it was a shame. "People would kill for your resources. I bet they'll be delighted if they know you're
pulling out."
Ian smiled. "I don't care what they think. Even if some of my rivals take my resources, I don't mind. Living in the
opinion of others is no way to live. I can't keep working and spending my life on something I don't like just to keep
my rivals away from my resources. And I can't keep them away from making money, anyway."
