Chapter 5582
The light had been entirely condensed out of internal energy, and moved quickly as
lightning.
"Be careful, Ambrose."
Sensing the force of the light, Heather's expression shifted as she cried out.
Motherf*cker...
Ambrose was in shock as well. Was this how strong the Four Profound Heavenly General
was? How powerful.
At the thought, Ambrose hurried to summon his internal energy to form a protective shield
in front of him.
The next second, the light collided harshly against the shield. A loud rumble sounded
through the air as the shield shattered in the blink of an eye, sending out powerful waves
of energy through the air.
Ambrose was sent flying from the force over a hundred meters, landing heavily onto the
ground.
Heather, too, had stumbled backwards a good amount of steps from the force.
"Ambrose..."

The next second, Heather returned to her senses as she dashed forward with the baby in
her arms, preparing to help Ambrose up.
Yet she had barely taken two steps forward when Ambrose called out to her.
"Don't get close, Heather."
Ambrose's voice was a croak as his eyes were red-rimmed, his voice laced with urgency.
"Get out of here. We're no match for him even if we team up."
"The only way for you and the baby to get out alive is if I hold him back. Quick, get out of
here with my brother."
Heather shook her head, tears streaming from her eyes. "No, I'm not leaving. What point
would there be in living if anything were to happen to you, Ambrose?" '
Heather could barely speak towards the end, her voice choked up with tears.
Sensing Heather's raw emotion, Ambrose took a deep breath full of remorse.
To think that the great master of the Elysium Gate would fail to even protect his own lover
and younger brother.
"Tsk tsk..."
Zeke sneered at the sight. "You two sure are a right pair.
Well, I'll kill you both off since you want to die together so bad."
As the words rang through the air, Zeke charged over as quick as lightning.
"I'm not going to let you hurt her as long as I'm alive." All Ambrose could feel was an
overwhelming pressure coming
over all at once. He cried out loud, flipping up to his feet as he gripped the Tyrant Hammer
to meet the attack.
"Let me help you, Ambrose..."
Just then, Heather bit her lip as she cried out. She set the baby down behind a large rock,
before drawing her long sword and rising into the air to meet both of them.
"Wow, a two-for-one deal? Splendid."
Zeke's gaze flashed at the sight of the pair rushing forward. He spat the words out coldly
before exploding with energy once again, sending out two powerful blows in Heather and
Ambrose's direction.
Ambrose could not dodge the attack in time, and blood sprayed from his mouth as the
blow struck him squarely and he landed hard against the ground.
At the same time, Heather was also sent flying, her face paling as she hit the ground.

Zeke landed, his gaze nothing but mocking as he said haughtily, "You dare challenge me
with such little strength? Well, how's that going for you? Giving up so quickly, are we?"
As he spoke, Zeke strode over slowly. The power he radiated filled the air, strong enough
to suffocate someone.
Ambrose took a deep breath at the sight, his chest throbbing with both anger and
hopelessness.
Was he going to die just like this? He did not want to.
Amidst his hopelessness, Ambrose turned to look at Heather. Her face was pale and she
looked impossibly weak, making Ambrose's heart ache. "It's all my fault, Heather. I wasn't
strong enough to protect you..."
Heather cut him off. "Don't you say that, Ambrose. Maybe this is just our fate."
Heather smiled bitterly, warmth in her tone. "We can't live out the rest of our days with
each other, but I'm glad to say I'm happy enough to die by your side."
Silly girl.
A lump rose in Ambrose's chest at the words as he was close to tears.
It was just then that the baby seemed to sense that tragedy was about to strike, and burst
into tears from behind the rock.
