Chapter 1307 You Smell Amazing

Jenny attempted to introduce potential partners to Gilbert in the following days, but her

efforts were in vain as Gilbert had no intention of meeting any of them. Eventually, Jenny

understood how resolute he was and decided to stop wasting her energy.

As the wedding day crept closer, Jenny had to focus on her wedding preparations as there

was only a month left. However, there wasn't much for her to do since Alec had already

taken care of everything. All she needed to do was to try on wedding dresses, so she had

it easy.

At the hospital, Jenny resumed her work. She was in the middle of organizing her patient's

records after finishing her rounds when she was called to the director's office.

"You wanted to see me?" Jenny asked as she entered the office. The director immediately

stood up to greet her.

"Please have a seat, Dr. Walter." The director was very polite toward her, which made

Jenny feel uneasy. However, she didn't pay much attention to it as she understood why he

acted that way.

After she sat down, the director got straight to the point and said, "Dr. Walter, there's a

hospital abroad inviting us for a conference. The neurosurgery department has selected

you as the representative. What do you think?"

It was a good opportunity for Jenny. She didn't need to do much, and it was an excellent

chance for her to broaden her horizons and meet new people on behalf of the

neurosurgery department.

"But...my wedding is coming up soon." She knew it was a good opportunity, but

considering the wedding, her first thought was to decline the offer.

Understanding her concern, the director quickly reassured her, "Don't worry, the

conference will last about a week. It will be over before it affects your wedding.’

"When do I leave?" Jenny asked.

"Tomorrow," the director replied.

Leaving the next day and returning within a week wouldn't have much impact. Hence, she

decided to agree. "Alright, I'll go.'

The director smiled, happy with her response.

After returning to her office, Jenny called Alec and informed him about it. Alec didn't have

any objections; he was just a bit concerned about Jenny.

"There's quite a bit of work over here lately, so I may not be able to accompany you," he

said. Lately, he had been busy optimizing the company's operations to free up time for

their honeymoon. Nonetheless, he was worried about not being able to accompany Jenny.

Jenny didn't see it as a big deal and said, "I'm not a child. I don't need you to accompany

me everywhere I go. I'm just informing you about this, not asking you to come with me."

"You may not be a child, but I want to pamper you like you are one," Alec replied. Jenny

fell silent. Imagining her expression, Alec laughed. "Fine, okay, we’ll talk about it when I

get home tonight," he said.

With that, the call ended. Jenny put away her phone and busied herself with work just as

Alec did. After all, they both had their own things to take care of.

When Alec returned home in the evening, he found Jenny in the kitchen.

"Jenny, are you cooking for me?" He couldn't believe his eyes and even felt a bit nervous.

He wasn't confident in her cooking skills.

Jenny was in the middle of preparing the ingredients. Turning around, she answered, "I've

already prepared the ingredients for you. You're in charge of cooking." She didn't have

much talent when it came to cooking. To be exact, she was a complete mess when it came

to cooking.

"Okay, whatever you say," Alec said, walking into the kitchen. He hugged Jenny from

behind and rested his chin on her shoulder. ’Jenny, you smell amazing."

Alec was reluctant to let go. Blushing, Jenny turned around and returned his hug.

"Let's eat first."

"But I want to taste you first."

Just like that, Jenny was lifted off the ground as Alec carried her straight to the bedroom.
