Chapter 73 Jessy’s Complaint

“Yes,” Annalise answered. Her ears were flushed red, and her lips could not help but curl into a sweet smile.

“Then, can I ask for an extra prawn as a reward?” Julian asked Annalise gently.

Annalise immediately peeled another prawn.

Before Annalise finished peeling the prawns, Julian opened his mouth.

When Annalise saw Julian like this, she could not reject him.

She quickly put the prawn in his mouth.

Julian smiled in satisfaction and peeled the prawns for Annalise.

When Henry saw Julian peeling prawns for Annalise, he was so shocked that his jaw dropped. Then, he sighed,

“Love is magical indeed!”

interview Julian. At first, Julian thought that she was a reporter and answered politely. Later, the female reporter

smiled at Julian and asked him if he liked girls like her. Julian’s expression suddenly changed, and he directly

retorted to the reporter, “Please have some self-respect!”

Then, he told the staff they didn’t need unprofessional reporters around and asked them to chase the female

reporter out.

Julian’s friends even discussed behind Julian’s back if he would get married in the future.

needed to find someone to get married to shut some people’s mouths.

They then discussed whether Julian would treat his wife well if he were so unfriendly to women outside.

They agreed that Julian would definitely treat his wife well. However, they understood it well. Julian would not mind

spending money on his wife and would respect his wife’s preferences. If his wife wanted to work, plan her career,

and do anything, Julian should support her.

That was the best way they could think of Julian pampering his wife.

entire time.

When the birthday banquet was about to end, Christopher called Julian and asked Julian to meet him. Julian thought

Jessy must have complained, and Christopher wanted to interrogate now.

He sneered. “How dare she complain!”

Then, a gentle smile appeared on his face. He said to Annalise, “Wait for me here. I’ll be back in a while.”

“Okay,” Annalise answered.

Julian went to the Parks family’s table.

As soon as he arrived at the table, Christopher looked at him in displeasure. “Did you do that thing about Jessy?”

“What thing?” Julian asked calmly.

“Release Jessy’s phone number and announce her marriage. It even said Jessy had had three abortions.”

Christopher was furious when he mentioned this.

“I did it.” Julian looked very calm.

Jessy cried. “Boohoo, grandpa. I told you that Julian did it. Grandpa, Grandpa Samuel, you have to stand up for me.

I’ve never posted that. When did I have an abortion? Isn’t Julian ruining my reputation by saying that? How am I

going to face others like this? I’m going back to school tomorrow. How am I going to face my teachers and

classmates?”

Christopher became even angrier when he heard Jessy’s cries. He slammed the walking stick in his hand on the

ground angrily. “How could you do such a thing? She’s your cousin! We aren’t dead yet, but you don’t care about

blood ties. Who knows what will happen if we old fogeys die one day? When you inherit the Parks family, won’t you

chase all the cousins out?”

He waited for an opportunity to involve the Parks Group in that matter.

Julian’s expression remained indifferent and calm. “Christopher, that has nothing to do with this. I’m a person. who

distinguishes between gratitude and grudges. It’s the same when I deal with business. Everything has to be

measured, whether in character wise or doing business. If people respect me, I’ll return their respect. If people

push their luck, I’ll usually warn them first. If they don’t listen to my warning, then don’t blame me for being rude.

“I would usually do what they had done to me if it were my family. To outsiders, I would usually eliminate them.

“I’ve already shown mercy, yet you still think I’m heartless? Christopher, aren’t you going to ask what Jessy did? Or

do you think I am despicable when I stabbed Jessy once after she had stabbed me twice?”

“When did she stab you twice?” Christopher did not know how to answer Julian.

Julian said, “I’m just making an analogy.”

“Don’t make such an impossible analogy. Now that you’re slandering Jessy’s reputation like this, what explanation

do you plan to give?” Christopher questioned.

Julian glanced at Jessy indifferently and said, “She deserves it! If there’s a next time, it won’t be as simple as

publicly posting her information to find her a match.”

“You… Samuel, how dare you hand over the entire Parks Group to such a person? Huh?” Christopher was so angry

that his entire body was trembling. He looked at Samuel.

Samuel knew Jessy must have gone overboard when he saw Julian doing something like this. He lectured,

“Christopher, I know you only have Jessy as your granddaughter. But no matter how precious she is, you must get

to know what happened first. You can’t just side her. You might be able to tolerate her mistakes, but if she makes a

mistake outside, will others give her a chance to change?”

“Julian, tell me, what exactly happened?”

Julian then told Samuel about Jessy spreading rumors that Annalise had a few ex-boyfriends and had aborted

before.

Jessy immediately retorted, “I didn’t. I only said that she had an ex-boyfriend, moved in with him, and had an

abortion. I didn’t say that she had three.”

Christopher glared at Jessy. It was such a good opportunity to defeat Julian, yet Jessy admitted she had spread the

rumors. She ruined the chance.

She started the rumor first. No matter what Julian did, it was understandable.

Samuel slammed his palm on the table and said seriously, “This is nonsense!”

He pointed at Christopher and reprimanded, “This is the good granddaughter you raised. Is this what a socialite of a

wealthy family should do? Huh?”
