Chapter 242 - Day of the Update.
''Little fellow, did you follow me?'' Isaac asked while touching the snowy owl's soft feathers.
The snowy owl nodded.
''Why?'' He asked curiously.
The snowy owl froze and didn't answer.
Isaac grabbed the snowy owl from the sides and carried it to the window frame.
The snowy owl's two talons touched the window frame, making two marks on the snow that was gathered on the bottom of the window frame.
Isaac rested his chin on his palm and silently looked at the snowy owl that seemed very mysterious in his eyes.
The snowy owl suddenly moved its head, making it stretch at a very uncomfortable angle, at least according to Isaac.
The snowy owl looked at the dark night and suddenly started flapping its wings before jumping out of the window and starting to fly away.
Isaac couldn't hear the sound of wings flapping and saw how the snowy owl had already disappeared into the distance.
'That was definitely strangest conversation I ever had…' Isaac closed the window with those thoughts.
After finding out the reason for the sudden noise, he left the attic.
A layer of dust started gathering on top of his soft hair and shoulders.
*Pat*
He used his right hand and patted the dust away.
Soon, he reached the wooden door and opened it without delaying his stay any longer.
The sound of floor creaking echoed in the silent corridors, and Isaac hurried down the stairs before he fell through them.

''Isaac?'' Suddenly, a voice came from the stairs.
Isaac turned his head and saw an attractive elderly woman standing on the stairs with a pink nightgown covering her body.
''What were you doing there?'' Madison asked while peeking towards the attic, ''It must be very dusty there.''
''Ah…'' Isaac just decided to tell the truth, ''I heard some noises coming from there, nothing else.''
''I see.'' Madison nodded, ''Must be the walls creaking. This mansion is one of the oldest ones after all.''
Isaac turned around to look at the wooden staircase, which barely stayed intact.
''Malcolm and I are going to go to sleep. Do you need anything?''
Isaac shook his head, ''No, thank you.''

Isaac nodded and watched as she entered the room.
After she left, Isaac also returned to his room.
He grabbed his phone from the charger and lied down on the bed.
Once he opened the screen, he noticed several messages from his family and News Station.
But, he also noticed a message from Amanda.
[Amanda: Good night!]
Isaac quickly replied with good night and checked his family's messages, but they mostly asked how the meeting with his grandparents went.
He replied with similar messages, and once he finished writing them, he sent the messages and closed the phone.
He didn't even bother replying to the messages coming from News Stations.
''Yaawn…'' A long yawn escaped his mouth, and his eyelids started getting heavier with each passing second.
He quickly put his phone back on the floor and covered his body with the blanket.
It didn't take long for him to enter deep slumber.
…
Next Morning.
Isaac was already awake with new pair of clothes.
Not long ago, from the window, he saw his grandparents leaving to visit their company.
Isaac was now alone with only the servants, but he didn't mind because he decided to do his mourning routines and go back to White Online.Want to see more chapters? Please visit p a n d a -n o v e l .c o m
Today will be quite an exciting day after all.
''Today is the update…'' Isaac murmured and felt very excited.
He wants some buff for Marksman class, but he also believes it wasn't necessary.
The forums have been heating up ever since the News about the Update was leaked.
Arthur made an announcement, which said that a world-changing update would happen on Friday!
White Online players begged for buffs for their beloved classes, and the loudest ones were Marksmen Players.
But, they noticed that one of the leading figures of Marksman Players, Wraith, was quiet, without saying a word about the update.
It brought a heated discussion.
Some said that he has secret knowledge about the next update.
Some said that he doesn't need a buff to become a Pro Player, etc.
Isaac simply didn't want to partake in that conversation because it had no use.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHe glanced at the clock and saw it being 9 A.M.
He also looked at the News about the update when he woke up, but nothing was said, which means it hasn't arrived yet.
''The update will probably have 1-hour downtime…'' Isaac thought it would be quite similar to the last update, but he had no idea that the new update would make the previous update look like a joke.
But, he still decided to go visit White Online once before the update, but only after he had done his morning routines.
He left his room and quickly ran to downstairs.
The downstairs was empty, with no signs of servants or Sebastian.
Isaac decided to use this time to look around the mansion and maybe find a gym.
He already knew how the kitchen, living room, and the dining room looked, which made his destination decided already.
He walked past the stairs and walked down the hall, where another open space was located.
The room was surrounded by windows that allowed Isaac to see outside the mansion.
From the windows, he could see the beautiful backyard, with servants cleaning the yard.
They noticed Isaac appearing and politely bowed.
Isaac nodded at them and walked past the windowed room and entered another room, which was something he was looking for.
A gym!
In the gym, he saw one person running on the treadmill.
Sebastian's face was drenched in sweat, while his athletic body kept running without stopping.
Looking at his masculine figure, Isaac again went self-conscious while looking at his somewhat skinny body but felt slightly happy that some signs of changes had appeared.
'One day…' Isaac's eyes looked firm, and without further ado, he started running on a treadmill, which caused enough noise to attract Sebastian's attention.
Sebastian turned around and was surprised to see Isaac and finally saw his body stature.
It wasn't anything special, but what caught his attention was the way Isaac's body moved.
'He is running… Perfectly.' Sebastian frowned, and the mystery of Isaac deepened in his mind.
