529 1,800 Chaos Laws
The Heavenly Demonic Beasts were still on a rampage. It was still fortunate that their rate of rampage was not particularly high as it was still quite difficult to look for a Sea of Chaos. If they really wanted to destroy all 3,000 Sea of Chaos, it would be many years later.
In reality, there were far fewer Heavenly Demonic Beasts which were beyond the Dao Patriarch Realm than one might think. This was also the reason why the Great Dao Alliance managed to barely fight back against them.
When the Heavenly Demonic Beasts attack, the Great Dao Alliance would harass and assassinate them. Such a tug-of-war relation had furtively formed.
It seemed that such a situation had been going on since the distant past. As long as one side still remained standing, there was no possibility of peace and tranquility.
On one of the corners of the Primordial Demon Abyss, there was an incomparably huge Demon Palace where a purple figure could be seen sitting on the supreme throne. The figure was radiating a terrifying aura that could whizz through the Chaos and annihilate all things.
As the purple figure looked through the area, the void was distorted.
“Still no news?” His sound rumbled. Just the sound of him could jolt a Saint to death to the point that their soul would be decimated completely.
“My King, there’s yet to be any news so far!” A three headed being that was as pale as a sheet was prostrated on the ground. “The direction that His Highness went forth, had been searched and there’s yet to be any responses received.”
“I can feel that he is still alive. However, I cannot contact him. Could it be that he is imprisoned by the Great Dao Alliance?” The King muttered. Just as he was pondering over the matter, he abruptly stood up. Overwhelming power surged out from his body like a mountain-sized tsunami, forming boundless luminance that completely destroyed the whole palace and turned countless maids serving him into smoke.
Even the three-headed old man was sent flying 100,000 miles away. Although he was of the Dao Patriarch Realm, one of his heads had exploded and his aura was extremely weakened.
Slightly stabilizing himself, the three-headed old man omitted his own injuries and prostrated himself onto the ground again, trembling in fear.
“It was just now that I’ve sensed the complete death of my son through the sensory of my bloodline. Haha! The one who can even kill my son is none other than the Great Dao Alliance; the one who even dares to do so is also none other than the Great Dao Alliance!”
“Great Dao Alliance... Good...Very good!”
“The one who dared to kill my son? You’re very good!”
The king was abnormally furious.
“In that case, I’ll be sending out all that I command and sweep through the entire Sea of Chaos! I don’t believe that you, as the Great Dao Alliance, will still cower away from this!”
“Three-headed! Heed my orders! All hands on deck!”
“Go all out! Leave none behind!”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe King let out a furious roar.
It wasn’t a day’s work to command an entire body of his demons to move out. Breaking through the Abyss and entering the land of nothingness wasn’t as easy as one might have thought. To find a single Sea of Chaos amongst the land of nothingness was even more difficult.
However, time poses no meaning to the experts of such level. Be it thousands, ten thousand or even a billion years, the difference wasn’t really that big to them. After all, the time taken for them to improve their cultivation realm, would be counted in the trillions.
...
Back in the Sea of Chaos, before Jiang Ming truly started his seclusion, he gave a heart of Chaos to his World Tree.
Based on his speculation, the World Tree’s combat power had long since reached the Dao Breaking Realm. It was just that it hadn’t entered the land of nothingness and hadn’t been detected by the Great Dao Alliance just yet.
For now, it was still silently improving its strength.
“If it manages to refine a whole heart of the Chaos, and later devour an entire Sea of Chaos, it will be truly remarkable. I wonder how far it will be able to grow.”
Jiang Ming was very much looking forward to this.
He then went on with his deep retreat into seclusion.
Time went by. The river of destiny remained vast and unstoppable by anyone. Even experts of the Dao Breaking Realm couldn’t reverse the flow of destiny. When there was partial reversal of destiny, it would still be washed down by the flood of time and continue moving forward.
...
Back in Chuyang Peak, Linglong also retreated into seclusion from time to time. She was mainly enlightening with special abilities to allow her battle body to improve and to allow her mind to merge with heavens and earth, feeling the Chaos Law. She was hoping to rely on her own power to break through the shackles and advance into the Chaos Realm.
However, it was just way too difficult.
On top of Tianyuan Realm, the 49 stars were still suspended above as though they were really revolving like real stars.
From time to time, there were people who had great encounters within, allowing their cultivation realm to soar and went on with sanctifying their Dao on the path of cultivation.
Saint Experts were budding like mushrooms after a heavy downpour.
All ten of Jiang Ming’s disciples had long sanctified the path of Dao. However, they did not come out of their seclusion and continued cultivating in the cultivational space that Jiang Ming deliberately created for them. All of them were progressing at a speed far beyond imagination.
On this day, Gu Hai had sanctified the Saint Realm.
“Hahaha! Never would I have thought an old man like me would also come to this step! Alas! The Saints!”
After a great laugh of joy, Gu Hai’s face was full of tears.
“Gu, why are you crying? This is a great joyous occasion!” In the midst of envy, the Sect Master couldn’t help but tease Gu Hai.
The other First Seats went forth one after another to congratulate Gu Hai.
First Seat Ming Yue was even more happy. Not only was Gu Hai her senior brother, but he was also her husband.
“Alas!” Gu Hai lamented inexplicably. “When I look back into the past now, who would’ve thought that there would come a day when I sanctify the path of Dao? Back in the planar world, our Jiuyang Sect was but only a second-rated sect. However, it has only been a few dozens of years’ time and we’ve managed to come to such a point of standing at the peak of the Infinite Realms. Even a mediocre person such as myself has sanctified the path of Dao. Whenever I think back on this, it still feels unbelievable.”
“We are all here getting pumped up from a single person who is so blessed!” First Seat of Lieyang Peak guffawed. “Senior Brother Gu, this is because you are being blessed by the Dao Patriarch of Soul!”
“Well, I’m happy, honored, proud and happily pat my chest to yell out loud that who can even nurture a disciple into a Dao Patriarch? Haha! Who can? There’s absolutely no one who can compare to me on this!” Gu Hai couldn’t help but show his sense of pride. “I’m the only one throughout the infinite realms in this regard!”
The Sect Master and other Head Disciples were all rendered speechless. What followed was a boundless sense of admiration.
It was right! Who would’ve thought that Gu Hai, who had just sanctified the path of Dao and even did that by relying on his own disciple, managed to nurture a Dao Patriarch.
Not only Gu Hai felt that his achievement today was so unreal like a dream, but the rest also felt the same. When they look back into the past and reminisce about their journey, they couldn’t help feeling that it was all so magical.
...
Back in Chuyang Peak, Linglong looked over at their direction and couldn’t help but smile. After all, Gu Hai was her own master. Since Gu Hai had sanctified the path of Dao, it was something deserving of celebration.
‘I wonder when my senior brother will come out of his seclusion. I really miss the extreme feeling of ten trillion avatars going at it.’
When she thought about the ridiculous things that they had done, she couldn’t help but blush a little.
In just a blink of an eye, ten thousand years’ time flowed by.
In the eyes of the beings of the Chaos Primordial Land however, there seemed to be no other major events happening other than the catastrophe during the opening of the Dao Domain of Patriarch ten thousand years ago.
Even that had quickly sunk in silence through the test of time.
After all, life and death were all too common to cultivators. They were just wondering what kind of experts were behind the end back then, to the point that even Dao Patriarch Experts were tight-lipped about it. It was very odd.
...
Boom... In the depth of the Chaos, a great array formation had exploded, giving off a deafening bang.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThis time reversal array formation was the one that Jiang Ming had deliberately set up to host himself within and was now completely destroyed.
Jiang Ming could be seen walking out of it as well.
“Time passes by just in a snap of a finger. I never thought I would be out of the seclusion so soon this time.” Jiang Ming lamented to himself.
Jiang Ming originally thought that this seclusion of his would be for at least a whole trillion years. How long had it just been instead?
‘As my cultivation continues to improve, my inner world has continued to grow as well. My speed of refining the Heavenly Demonic Beast and the heart of Chaos has also become faster and faster.’
This was the real key towards how short Jiang Ming’s cultivation retreat was.
Now that the many Heavenly Demonic Beasts and heart of Chaos had all been digested, Jiang Ming’s inner world had already expanded to an unimaginable level. Jiang Ming estimated that his inner world was now even more vast than the current Sea of Chaos where he was today. This was a little unbelievable. Even he himself found it hard to believe.
What was even more incredible was that his inner world hadn’t even fully produced the 3,000 Chaos Laws yet. At this point, there were only 1,800 of them.
‘It seems that my inner world is abnormal. Its vastness has exceeded the vastness of the current Sea of Chaos and yet hasn’t entered its mature state.’
This was very bizarre.
‘Oh well. It’s my power anyways. It’s just that it will be more difficult to continue improving in the future.’
Jiang Ming shook his head. However, this was also something that couldn’t be helped with. After all, the stronger he became, the better the effect would be when he was refining Heavenly Demonic Beasts.
From now on, there wouldn’t be any rewards from the System anymore. He would basically have to rely on his own.
‘I wonder what my battle power has become by now. It shouldn’t be a problem for me to beat up an Emperor-leveled Heavenly Demonic Beast now, right? If a single punch doesn’t do it, two punches should suffice!’
As Jiang Ming pondered on this, he wanted to try and experiment on this. However, when he saw the Sea of Chaos in front of him, he immediately dismissed such thought.
He had no doubt that a single punch by him would punch through the entire Sea of Chaos here. Even the Chaos Origin would’ve been completely annihilated.
Raising his arms and swiping through the air, he tore open a rift and plunged himself into it. As he just arrived at the land of nothingness, he could see an immense and incomparably huge Demonic Mountain appearing in front of him.
The divine aura from the mountain was so immense, radiating throughout every direction.
“Good lord. Is this a special greeting for me after knowing that I’ve come out of seclusion?”
Jiang Ming couldn’t help but burst into laughter. This was just what he was looking for and it fell into his lap.
Heavenly Demonic Beasts? They were just right for him to practice a little. There was absolutely nothing more suitable for Jiang Ming’s practice than the beasts.
