Chapter 45: Generational Talent
I gave the guy a rundown of what happened including what I had done to the prince, I left out my first meeting with the female Elf as I wanted to keep that to myself.
"Wow this is not what I expected to hear, still though I believe the situation is savable. Not all is bad though, this can open up a line of communication with myself and the royals which is something I still had trouble with. You two can leave though and Azrail you stay, I still need to talk to you."
The two had quickly gotten up and took their leave which left me alone with the prodigy. The guy started walking over the bench, I followed suit and decided to sit right next to him.
"I know who you are Azrail, I have read over your files and I can say that I am very impressed with your work in Maru. I know your objective as well with the VIA, but I still would like your help with this."
"I don't see how I could be of any help in this situation, if anything I only see myself making it far worse."
"You're wrong, you see I plan on finding this princess by heading right to the Elves dorm. You and I are going to apologize together to her, mine being for those two actions and yours being for beating up her brother. This will open a path for communication if I am able to build off this opportunity.
The apologizes themselves don't truly matter, it's whatever happens after them that matters. We also can't let this situation breed into something worse, we must take care of it now."
I thought about what the guy said and everything did make sense to me. This also gave me the opportunity to redeem my earlier mistake.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Showing up at their dorm will be a problem though, we might end up being targeted. I told you how that prince reacted just by someone looking at his sister with lust, how do you think the Elves will react with you and I trying to speak to her."
"You make a valid point, but that's how we have to do it. Tracking her down may give off a bad impression, so we have to go through the proper channels. My instincts also tell me that she will be waiting there for us."
"Your instincts? Huh alright I will follow through with your plan, let's get this over with."
We both got up from the bench and he started to lead me to the Elves dorms, I was however very nervous at the chance of me actually seeing her again so quickly.
I haven't had the time to get rid of that fear she gave me, if things were to go wrong, I could only rely on my anger to conquer that fear.
It didn't take long to reach the Elves dorms, I had also felt many stares coming from many directions. We were being watched, they were like hawks ready to pounce at a moment's notice.
The prodigy however did not seem effected by all of this, he had continued walking the same way the entire time. He already gave me the impression that he was ready to be a leader.
The prodigy suddenly stopped moving, I quickly moved to stand right next to him. I looked ahead and saw a female Elf with dark purple hair, I immediately knew she was the same Elf that almost took my life.
Noticing our gazes, she turned around and looked at the man standing to my left. Quickly moving her eyes down she had seen me, the same facial expression was kept on her face the entire time.
"Excuse me princess, do you mind if we take a little of your time?" The prodigy asked in a very polite and charming tone.
"Of course not, do you mind telling me who you two might be?" She responded, her voice was as beautiful as I remembered, but just as deadly as well.
"I am Alexander Rivington and this here is my friend Azrail, it seems we have caused you and your brother some problems."
'Damn it he gave that monster my name, the prince had told me that Elves can sense emotions. I need to calm down and keep up this facade.'
"Problems already? Well let us talk about this in private, I was waiting for my friends so how about we have this discussion in one of their rooms?"
"That sounds great, how long do you think we will have to wait?"
'Is this bastard insane? Going into an area where there are no knights and being surrounded by Elves who are on par with him? Just how far is he willing to risk our safety just to open up communication?'
"Not long at all, you see they are already here." She said as she started to wave down her friends.
I looked over to my right and spotted three females Elfs with two males Elfs behind them. Once they had made their way to where we were I could sense their aruras.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEvery single one of them was on par with Alexander the Volestian prodigy, this only made me feel worse about the situation.
I looked over to him to just to see him with a calm smile on his face. It seemed this didn't bother him either, at least that was the impression he gave me.
"All right then we are all ready, you two gentlemen can just follow us."
Alexander and I looked at one another for a brief moment, we both nodded our heads and followed the group of Elves.
The group was silent and we simply followed behind them, we made our way into their dorm building which looked the same as the human dorms.
We entered an elevator, then one of the female Elf's hit the button 22. In less than a second, we were on that floor. Leaving the elevator we walked over to room 6.
The same Elf who had pressed the button took out her key and opened the door.
'I don't like this situation at all, that damn Elf also pretended like she didn't know me. What the hell are her goals?'
We had entered the female Elf's room and I had noticed it looked exactly like mine, it seemed that there was no favoritism to the Elves. The awkward part was that there were only 4 chairs and we had a total of 8 people in the room.
"Well then let us have a seat at the table, no need to be so tense I'm sure we can figure this out."
Alexander went to take a seat and I simply moved the chair to sit next to him once again. I had decided to act as his guardian, he was an important human who had amazing talent. I was going to make sure nothing happened to him during this meeting.
