Chapter 1510 I’m Not the Bride
Unexpectedly, Nicholas had just walked out of the room when his wife, who had been
sleeping soundly in his arms, suddenly opened her eyes.
Tessa stared at the handsome man in front of her, feeling annoyed and exasperated.
"Send me back," she ordered, slapping his shoulder.
However, he continued forward without changing his direction. At the same time, he
coaxed her with various sweet nothings.
"I'm sorry. I have reflected upon my mistakes. Please come back and sleep with me. I can't
fall asleep without you." Then, he lowered his head and kissed her on the forehead.
She initially had the intention to struggle against him, but they had already arrived at the
bedroom. Before she could protest again, he covered her lips with a kiss.
Naturally, it was impossible for them to make love since she was pregnant. Nevertheless,
his actions left her with no strength to struggle any further.
The next morning, things progressed as expected. Both Gregory and Gordon were
extremely incensed.
"Evil Daddy! Mommy told you to sleep alone. How dare you secretly steal Mommy from
our beds?!" Gregory reprimanded Nicholas across the dining table.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtGordon nodded in agreement. "Evil Daddy. If you continue to be naughty, Mommy will
punish you."
Tessa watched their interaction from the side, laughing happily.
When Nicholas saw the smile on her face, a look of helplessness and affection appeared in
his eyes.
After breakfast, Nicholas went to work and Gregory went to school.
When Tessa returned home from sending Gregory to school, she was surprised to see her
parents-in-law waiting for her.
Upon further thought, she quickly realized the reason for their visit. It was most likely
about whether Gregory had accepted their biological relationship.
And the reality turned out to be just as she predicted.
As soon as Stefania noticed Tessa's return, she anxiously asked, "Have you told Greg?"
"Yes." Tessa nodded, then took the initiative and gave them a brief rundown of what
happened last night. "You were right, Mom. I was over-complicating the situation. Greg
took the news very well."
Hearing those words, Stefania and Tobias finally laid their worries to rest. Afterward, she
began to discuss marriage-related matters with Tessa.
"All the preliminary preparations have been completed. The new house has also been
renovated and furnished. The only thing left is choosing the decor for the wedding venue.
Since you're here today, why don't you see if there's any particular arrangement that you
prefer? The designer sent me many pictures of the designs."
While speaking, she took out her phone and pulled up the designs on her phone. Then,
she handed her phone to Tessa to view and choose a design.
Tessa was taken aback for a moment, then she laughed and pushed the phone back to
Stefania. "Mom, aren't you forgetting something? I'm not the bride."
Stefania blinked.
Likewise, Tobias nudged his wife with his elbow as a reminder.
"Oh! What I meant is that Sabrina is busy with her work at the company. She told me that
you will handle these matters on her behalf, so I decided to leave the choice to you."
Stefania quickly made an excuse to cover up the part where she nearly revealed the
secret.
Tessa did not suspect Stefania. Hence, she helped to choose a design for the wedding
venue that she thought was pretty.
They later had lunch together, then the two elders went home.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmTessa judged that there was no reason for her to stay at home alone. Her mother-in-law
had mentioned that the furnishing of her brother's house had been completed, so she
decided to visit the house.
Before leaving the house, she called Nicholas to inform him about her destination.
Unexpectedly, Nicholas was worried about letting her go alone. Seeing as he had an
important meeting that he could not afford to postpone later, he sent Edward to protect
her instead.
Half an hour later, Edward picked Tessa up and headed to the new house. Along the
journey, he kept glancing at the rearview mirror as though he had something to say.
Tessa naturally noticed his odd behavior and curiously asked, "Mr. Jackson, is there
something you want to tell me?"
"I…" He initially hesitated but quickly made up his mind. He asked grimly, "Young Madam,
how much do you know about your friend known as Mona?"
His question surprised her so much that she blanked out for some time.
"Is there a problem with Mona? Why do you ask?" Returning to her senses, she glanced at
him suspiciously.
He immediately tried to conceal his intentions with a nervous laugh. "There's no need to
wonder about my intentions, Young Madam. I was just asking a random question."
