An Understated Dominance by Marina Vittori Chapter 1109
“Is this guy a monster?” Diego muttered.
“Okay. It’s your turn!” Dustin glared at the scared Diego. “Mr. Rhys, let’s talk it out. No need for a
showdown. I’ll return your woman and leave, never bothering you again,” Diego begged.
He had over twenty warriors at his disposal, but they were no match for Dustin. He couldn’t believe
Dustin was this terrifying.
“Your fate was sealed when you kidnapped someone. Words won’t save you now,” Dustin declared,
raising his sword. “Wait!” someone shouted. Then, Jayden stormed in with soldiers, followed by Vivian

“You came just in time. These Kimboku people attempted to kidnap Sheila. Arrest him and bury them,”
Dustin said, pointing to the lifeless bodies on the floor.
“Shut up! You have no say here!” Jayden retorted. He was surprised to see Diego. “Diego? Is that
you?”
Diego was equally surprised. He had met Jayden during their studies abroad, and they were
acquainted. “So, what brings you here?” Jayden asked.
“I…” Diego was speechless. He couldn’t confess to kidnapping Sheila and using her as leverage
against Dustin.
“He won’t say it, so let me tell you,” Dustin explained. “He kidnapped Sheila with bad intentions. So, he
should be arrested and interrogated to uncover other accomplices.”
“Hmm?” Jayden furrowed his brow.
“Jayden, it’s a misunderstanding. Don’t buy into his nonsense!” Diego began to deny it. He knew
confessing now would seal his fate.
“Diego, whether it’s true or not, I’ll conduct a thorough investigation. I won’t wrong an innocent person
or let a guilty one escape,” Jayden asserted. Then he turned back to Dustin. “Do you have evidence to
support your claim that he kidnapped Sheila?”
“Do o you need evidence?” Dustin raised an eyebrow. “Take a good look around.” “I just got here. Can

Dustin pointed at the bodies on the ground. “See these masked men? They’re Kimboku warriors. Diego
is from Kimboku, too. Do you see the connection? Isn’t that enough evidence?” Diego’s nervousness
became evident at Dustin’s words.
“Not enough,” Jayden shook his head. “Is this not sufficient? Okay!” Dustin grabbed Diego and took out
his phone.
He showed a video of Sheila’s kidnapping, saying, “Look at this video Diego recorded. Now, isn’t it
clear who the bad guy is?” Diego couldn’t deny the evidence and looked pale.
“Let me see…” Jayden looked at the video. But then, trying to stay calm, he insisted, “This video is
fake! Don’t accuse Diego without proof, or things won’t be pleasant!”
With that, he crushed the phone to destroy the evidence.
