'They really are quite tenacious, gotta give them that.'
Asher nodded in approval as they watched both Alex and Anthony duke it out even in a bloodied state.
Though, there was one thing that had been bothering Asher for quite a while now.
'Is it just me or is Anthony a bit stronger than what he should've been at this point?
I thought that he might have accidentally gotten a higher rank in the examination due to the consequence of some action I took back then but..
I guess he always was this strong in the , it's just that words can't exactly explain how strong one is. In a battle, there exist tons of factors that could affect a fight, some of which could probably not be written in mere words.'
While munching on some popcorn, Asher found Anthony repeatedly teleporting around Alex to throw him off.
This was the one reason why those with Space affinities were one of the most annoying beings out there. It wasn't their strength but their mobility that made them a pain in the head to deal with.
Anthony teleported behind Alex in a crouching position as he planned to cut off his legs.
Alex, somehow anticipating that, used his Darkness element to cause a blade to appear from Anthony's shadow which would impale him at the back, right through his heart.
Somehow, Anthony miraculously dodged at the last second as he swiped his weapon at Alex who in turn blocked it with his hands covered with the Light element. Any injury caused by the blade was instantly healed with the help of Alex's element.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtLight Element was something that could be used to create the sharpest of blades or even heal someone. It was one of the most versatile elements out there. This was the reason why anyone with the Light Element would prefer to act as a Battle Priest, healing themselves while fighting.
'Anthony has higher mobility and combat experience whereas Alex seems to have a lot more methods to attack.'
Suddenly, Asher turned to look at the sky, when he sensed someone looking towards him, or more accurately towards the fight that had been going around. With his [Divine Eyes], it was near impossible for someone to spy on him or near him.
Looking upwards, Asher waved at her.
.
Somewhere far above the Domain of the Battle Royale, a vein bulged on the Principal's forehead as she saw a young man eating popcorn while waving at her whilst everyone else was fighting with their virtual lives on the line to earn more points.
.
The fight below had almost reached its climax as Alex began to coat his sword with both his elements. This was one of the moments which would later give him the idea to merge those two elements, one which neither had anybody managed to do, nor was anyone capable of doing.
On the other hand, Anthony focused his Space element as he managed to crack a very small shard from his surroundings, right from empty space!
Anthony now had a minuscule-sized Space Shard floating around him, one of the most dangerous and destructive abilities of a user with Space affinity.
Space Shards were void-black in color, as they were formed by cracking reality itself. The mana consumption Anthony was facing right now was probably enough to send him into Mana Exhaustion, given he tried to keep hold of that Shard for another few seconds.
'If I was Anthony, I'd just pretend to charge up a strong move and instead backstab Alex by teleporting behind him.'
'At least, these people are much more useful than that System's Slave for now. That guy was absolutely useless and garbage. This is why you don't use Systems that are sentient. They just issue you annoying missions. Though, I wonder who even gave him that system.'
It seemed that Asher had forgotten that he was the exact person who had given Orion his system through his .
Just as Anthony and Alex prepared to charge at each other, a voice interrupted them both.
"GUYS ENOUGH, STOP NOW!! It was all a misunderstanding!" Lucia voiced out in concern as the both of them hurriedly lowered their weapons.
"Tsk, just when it was about to get interesting."
"Tsk, just when it was about to get exciting."
Anthony turned around, only to spot the Principal standing behind him. Even though he showed no reaction outwardly, he was surprised because he didn't see her come behind him.
'Well, her rank isn't exactly for show, is it? I can't sense her if she moves thousands of times faster than I can even blink.'
"So.. what brings you to my lowly abode, Principal?"
Of course, how could Asher ever stop annoying his ever-favorite person? As a result, a few more veins could be seen popping out of her forehead.
"Hey Principal, this much stress isn't good for your health. Here, have some popcorn and calm down."
Asher offered his popcorn bucket to the Principal. She extended her hand forward to grab a bite only to find it was empty. Asher had eaten it all!
A heavy aura descended upon Asher as he saw the Principal's hand clenched so hard it turned red. She used mana and dumped it onto Asher.. alas she used it on the wrong person, it wasn't effective on Asher at all!
"Anyways.. JUST HOW did you even bring Popcorn into a domain? Everything here is literally virtual!!" The Principal grumbled. She was about to ask further questions but disappeared as she sensed people heading towards Asher's current location.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"So, you all got separated from your teams, right? Then the three of us could temporarily team up with each other until we find our teams. Is that acceptable to you, boys?
"Yes ma'am."
"Yes, princess"
Both Anthony and Alex responded to her as they made their way towards the hill.
'Curse that damned Principal, she left too late so I didn't get the chance to run away and hide. They're going to see me now.'
"OH hey Asher, what're you doing here?"
'Dammit'
'Goddammit, NOO'
Both Asher and Anthony cried out, internally. One was annoyed at being dragged into an annoying situation whereas the other was sweating buckets at having encountered that monster in a test where one was allowed to kill others. Nobody wanted to die even if it was virtually, the pain was realistic after all!

I've been trying out different styles of writing lately. Between ones such as 1st and 3rd povs along with those where we focus more on one's internal thoughts. Attempting to test out which one works out the best. Anyways, enjoy.. or try to enjoy.
