Back For My Daughter

It was time for the sun to set.

On the road to the Muqin Park, a couple was walking and in hand as the woman had placed her head on the man's shoulder.

The man walked at a slow pace as to not disturb the woman from her comfort.

The woman had a smile on her face as she walked slowly with her hand held by the man.

While the man held a little girl with his right hand and carried her.

The little girl also had her head on the man's chest and from the looks of it, it seemed that she didn't want to disturb the couple and was quietly peeking her eyes at the surroundings as she giggled every now and then but didn't make any sound.

The man seemed to notice something and looked at his left and then at his right.

Ye Qian was about a block away from his house when he suddenly stopped.

Seeing him stop abruptly in the middle of the road both Yuan Meng and Little Qiqi looked puzzled.

Yuan Meng brought her head from his shoulder and glanced at him.

"What happened why did you suddenly stop walking?"

"Yes, Papa what happened, Qiqi is feeling sleepy, why do you stop, we are near our home. See!"

Ye Qian smiled at them and let go of Yuan Meng's hand and patted Little Qiqi's head.

"Papa will take Butterfly home quickly, but there are some crows who are following us, shouldn't we get rid of them."

Little Qiqi stared at him cluelessly and then turned to look around and brought her finger to her chin as she narrowed her eyes and wondered.

"Papa Qiqi can't see any crows in the sky and around us, why do you say that crows are following us."

Whilst Yuan Meng seemed to lose something and pouted her lips.

'Dummy, do you care for Qiqi more than me now.'

"Humph"

With that, she harrumphed and crossed her hands below her chest and continued to pout.

Hearing her Ye Qian turned to her and saw her pouting.

"Hehe, Mumma looks so cute!"

Little Qiqi giggle as she had never seen Yuan Meng behave like such.

Ye Qian looked at Yuan Meng and felt bewildered.

"Mengmang what happened, did I do anything wrong."

"Why do you even ask, don't you have your Little Butterfly with you."

Yuan Meng whined as she stomped her feet.

"En?"

Ye Qian glanced at Little Qiqi and raised his eyebrows trying to ask Little Qiqi about Yuan Meng's sudden change in mood.

Little Qiqi shook her head and brought her mouth closer to Ye Qian's ears and said, as she covered it with her tiny hands.

"Papa do what Grandma Xue said, I think she is angry because she felt wronged."

Ye Qian thought for a moment as he rubbed his forehead.

Swiftly his eyes went on his hand and smiled as he apparently understood.

He extended his hand towards the pouting Yuan Meng and pinched her nose lightly as he laughed.

"I am sorry for making my little Butterfly's Mumma feel bad."

"And don't say that before my Little Butterly, it was you who came into my life, so I love you more, but it's just that I dont know how to show it."

Ye Qian soothed.

"Hey, dummy don't say that I know you love me a lot, I just felt lost for a while."

"I know you have hidden your feelings for so long, and dont worry I know how playful and cute my Mengmeng is, even if we have Qiqi, you are still the same and I like it more."

Ye Qian said with a fond look as he rubbed her cheek.

Yuan Meng held his hand as he placed it on her cheek as her eyes turned moist and she smiled affectionately.

They gazed at each other affectionately as their eyes met for a few moments. When suddenly

"Qiqi also Loves Papa."

A peal of beaming laughter was heard while they were having a romantic moment.

Yuan Meng was like ash was thrown in cold water as she quickly let go of Ye Qian's hand and looked down and hid her face with her hands, not daring to look at Little Qiqi.

'Ah, what were we doing, and that too in front of Qiqi? Ahhh this is so embarrassing.'

"Mumma, what happened?"

Little Qiqi asked after seeing Yuan Meng trying to hide her face.

"Coughh."

Ye Qian coughed lightly to disturb her and stammered while kissing her forehead.

"Yes, we Mumma and Papa love Qiqi too."

Noticing that Ye Qian had somehow successfully changed the topic Yuan Meng heaved a sigh of relief.

She looked at Ye Qian bashfully as she remembered their previous moment and her skin turned scarlet once again.

Ye Qian turned to her and smiled.

Seeing his smile Yuan Meng's face turned rosy red and she ranted.

"What were you saying about crows thing?"

"Ah, that, how about you take care of Qiqi for a bit."

Saing that he gently placed Little Qiqi on the ground and consoled whilst patting her head.

"Butterfly how about you close your eyes and stand with your Mumma, till Papa shoos these crows away so that we can go home quickly."

"Alright, Papa be quick Qiqi is feeling a little dizzy now."

Saying that she yawned and closed her eyes as she held onto Yuan Meng's legs.

Ye Qian glanced at Yuan Meng and asked.

"Please close Qiqi's ears there might be noises."

Yuan Meng agreed and placed her hands on Qiqi's ears.

"So until when are you people going to follow us?"

Ye Qian called out as he gazed at the empty road with a calm face.

A few moments later about eight men came from the shadows, as they stared at Ye Qian with hostility and glanced at Yuan Meng.

Yuan Meng gasped and brought her hand from Little Qiqi's ears and covered her mouth as her eyes widened.

Ye Qian glanced at Yuan Meng and asked.

"Do you know them?"

Yuan Meng shook her head to him.

"So why are you people following us?"

"Brat do you know who is this woman?"

A scar-faced man asked as he pointed at Yuan Meng.

'Huh, why won't I know my own wife?'

Ye Qian raised his eyebrows and thought as he looked at them in confusion.

"Brat, this lady here is the woman whom our boss has his eyes on, if you want to live and want your legs, it's better for you to not stay close with this lady, or hehe, I dont need to explain more do I?"

Ye Qian turned to look at Yuan Meng.

She shook her head and trembled.

"Their boss is trying to force me to marry him for two months, I didn't know what to do so I went to the police but they didn't help me further, since then they are following me. And then... then."

"What did they do after that?"

Ye Qian asked as the nerves in his eyes turned red and he started trembling.

Yuan Meng's nose became runny as she was trying to hold back her tears.

She shivered and continued.

"Then they said if, soob.. I didn't cooperate with them, soob.. they.. they will even take Qiqi away."

Yuan Meng said as a few teardrops started to run down her cheeks.

"Ka..ka"

Ye Qian clenched his fists tightly as a bone-cracking sound came he slowly freed his hand and extended it towards Yuan Meng and wiped her tears.

"Qian'er we must run quickly they are not good people."

Yuan Meng said while trembling as she gazed at the people standing in front of her.

Ye Qian looked at her warmheartedly while wiping her tears and asked.

"Don't you believe that your husband will be able to handle these puny insects? Besides, I owe them don't I?"

Yuan Meng tilted her head and looked confused at what he wanted to say.

While Ye Qian turned to the 'Gang'.

"Brat we have already told you to leave this place, you can't blame us for crying later."

Another man beside the scar-faced roared.

The scar-faced stared at Ye Qian sternly and pondered.

"So you are her boyfriend or something whatever, boy it is all your fault for messing around with our boss's woman."

"Go break his legs and bring that lady with us the Boss will definitely reward us handsomely."

"Yes, brother Chen."

Three robust-looking men nodded and started walking towards Ye Qian.

'I really didn't want to kill people after coming here but now that decision of mine seems vague now since they try to come to me I won't let them off, they dared to force Mengmeng and threatened to harm Qiqi, huh I will let you know what death is, if not then I won't call myself Venerable.'

Ye Qian thought as he glared at the men stepping towards him and his eyes turned red from anger.
