Back For My Daughter

In a large Mansion surrounded by various kinds of nature-infused things, a young lady was sitting on the bed in a calm room with a graceful smile on her lips as they quivered tears of expectancy welled in her eyes as she gently gazed at the woman lying on the bed motionlessly.

As Han Xiaowen was watching her mother with anticipation few minutes passed by. ​​

Seeing that there was no improvement on Xiaowen's mother Li Fen sighed and shook her head.

'Ah, it was all for nothing, just a big show of lights.'

Seeing Li Fen shaking her head Han Xiaowen felt dejected and felt sour as her body shook and she felt a lump growing in her throat.

She was about to cry loudly when the lady on the bed made some movements.

The lady's eyelashes started trembling as if she was trying to open her eyes.

Then suddenly a greenish-black light came out of the region between her eyebrows.

Han Xiaowen was frightened by the change of events and tried to run away from it as she felt some ominous feeling welling in her heart as the light came from her mother's head.

Li Fen also felt the same but she was at a distance away from Han Xiaowen's mother so she didn't feel much like her.

But she knew that whatever the thing was, it was trying to find something.

The greenish-black light was about to enter Han Xiaowen when the charm which seemed to be disintegrated into the nothingness that had a small part of it lying somewhere flew from the ground.

That piece of charm went to the greenish-black light and what it looked to them was as if they were fighting.

This small piece of charm was of green colour and was at the top section of the charm.

That charm piece emitted blue light and started to encircle the greenish-black light trying to trap it within itself.

"Ahhhhh heeeee wwhhhooo."

As Han Xiaowen and Li Fen saw the greenish-black light was surrounded by the blue light sphere it started to emit various wailing sounds.

"Aaahhhh"

With a last wail, the greenish-black light started to burn in the blue sphere and turned into nothing.

Han Xiaowen and Li Fen were so frightened that they were embracing each other and stood at the door of the room.

After the greenish-black light burned they heaved a sigh of relief and nodded after losing themselves.

Han Xiaowen quickly turned and ran to the bed where her mother was lying.

When she saw that her mother's shin shade was changing to that of rosy red, Han Xiaowen was shocked as she sat beside her and studied her carefully.

Her eyes were still trembling and there was a frown on her face as her eyebrows knitted together as if in worry of in a bad dream.

A few seconds later her fingers started to shake and she moved her fingers ever so slightly.

Seeing that her mother was waking up Han Xiaowen eyes were red as tears welled in her eyes.

She took her mother's hand in her hands lightly and held it.

"Mom, I'm Xiaowen, can you listen to me? Mom...."

"Sniff sniff"

Han Xiaowen's voice choked a few times in between when tears of joy and disbelief started to drip from her eyes as she called out for her mother constantly.

After a few moments, the woman on the bed opened her trembling eyelids, she was not able to adapt to the sudden bright light in the room after such long time and she closed them a few times.

She saw Han Xiaowen crying in delight while holding her hands and constantly calling out for her and was trying to say something more.

But Han Xiaowen was not able to control herself anymore and dived in her mother's embrace eagerly and started to cry loudly.

"Mom, you.. you.. sob... you woke up, at last, I sob..sniff..."

Not able to control her outburst even after that Han Xiaowen cried in her mother's embrace while letting go of all of her pain and longing.

The woman lightly patted and caressed Han Xiaowen's back as she continued to cry and slowly woke up while still embracing her daughter.

"Wenwen"

As she woke up and sat properly she felt that light was circulating in her body and she was surrounded by dense refreshing air from all sides, making her body and soul more pure and thus making her deliberately more rejuvenated with each second that passed.

"Oh dear why are you crying and what happened to me?"

Han Xiaowen's mother rubbed her back trying to calm her down, as she woke up completely and was struggling to sit up.

The two years of lying on the bed made her numb as she was having a hard time controlling them properly and she was unable to sit up properly.

Nonetheless, she was feeling refreshed as the cool, soothing light was helping her recuperate her limbs back.

But Han Xiaowen continued to cry and didn't speak anything more, Li Fen who was standing by the door until now had her eyes wide open as she was the woman on the bed was awake and was even talking normally now.

'En that man really knew magic and what was the black light that came out of Xiaowen's mother's head.'

She then smiled after glancing at Han Xiaowen who was letting go of all her grief and sighed in relief.

'At least now everything will be in her control, and no one would dare to do things behind her back, and she can finally live in some rest now that her mother may also help her in handling the things out properly.'

After a few minutes of crying Han Xiaowen calmed a bit and glanced at her mother's face.

She then recalled everything about how she fell in a vegetative state for two years and the companies were handed to her and the stuff that now the board of directors were trying to pull her down from the company as the shares were in her mother's name and she was not in a state to run the companies and business properly and also told about her uncle who was trying to sell her off to the Wu family for taking over the companies, business and he had convinced the Board of Directors on his side and they will take over everything from them.

As Han Xiaowen's mother listened to how she was being treated while she was ill, her eyes turned cold.

Finally, after saying all the things, Han Xiaowen embraced her mother once again.

Her mother continued to rub her back and asked Xiaowen.

"Emm then how did you wake me up?"

Though she looked around the room that had many medical instruments she guessed that they were mostly to keep her stable and healthy.

Han Xiaowen then continued telling about the monk she met when she was going into the nearby city hospital who told her that her mom was surrounded by ghosts.

Then she continued to tell her mother about how she met an unknown man today who was selling charms and even told her about the thing of placing his hand on her head as she felt energy entered her body after that.

Han Xiaowen's mother nodded and smiled while patting her hand after she recounted today's things.

Li Fen who was standing also heard Han Xiaowen and was shocked.

'So that was why she was feeling confident about the charms, that man was really someone magical.'

Han Xiaowen's mother then admitted as she smiled at her as she saw how her daughter recounted the man's image, she was not just admiring him but there seemed to be something else as well.

Han Xiaowen then continued to tell her mother about what happened after she placed the charm on her head as if she was a little girl telling a fantasy story as her teacher, with starry eyes.

Her mother's eyes widened as she heard about the black-green light coming from her head and thought.

'It seems like there was really some ghost or evil spirit. If what Wenwen is saying is true the man is very powerful and would not like to be bothered by such things, something must have triggered him to help Wenwen.'

Well, what she had thought was half true, Ye Qian felt pity for Han Xiaowen and was moved as she was trying hard to find a cure for her mother and that was his weak spot.

If he wasn't in dire need of money, he would have even given off the charm to Han Xiaowen for free considering how much she cared for her mother.

"Alright, how about we have some dinner now, I really feel hungry all of a sudden thinking that I have not eaten anything for two whole years."

Han Xiaowen's mother called out while laughing hard as she tried to stand up while her legs were shaking.
