Chapter 1624 Plan
Selena's heart skipped a beat as she stared intently at Matilda. "Who was it?" she asked.
Matilda shook her head. "I don't know him, we just crossed paths once."
Selena's voice becserious. "Does he look like me?"
Matilda shook her head again. "No, but he gives off a similar vibe."
Selena lowered her eyelashes and felt a strange sensation in her heart. It shouldn't be like this, but it was.
She looked like that person, but not exactly the same.
But Matilda wouldn't lie about it - if the person really looked like Selena, Matilda would have reacted strangely when they first met.
That could only mean that the person didn't really look like Selena after all.

Was Selena feeling disappointed? She couldn't tell for sure. When she lifted her eyes again, her expression becserious once
more. "Where did you see him?" she asked Matilda.
"Telleverything about how you met him," Selena demanded.
Matilda hesitated for a moment before staring at Selena for a long tand finally saying: "lI saw him on an island overseas while |
was on a mission and got badly injured there by accident... He savedand then letgo without any further contact since
then."
As soon as Matilda finished speaking, Selina remembered the note Mr. White gave to her before leaving and clenched it tightly in
her hand.
She thought to herself, she knew where that place was. And one day, she would set foot on that island and find the person who
had been on her mind.
Matilda hadn't received a response in a while, so she watched Selena's pensive expression without interrupting her thoughts.
After a moment, Selena seemed to finally snap out of whatever emotion had been consuming her and smiled at Matilda. "Did you
chere today for Miss Lillian?"
"Yes," Matilda replied solemnly as they got down to business. "Miss Lillian has cto the capital with a proposition."
"She is willing to trade three treasures in exchange for H country releasing Robert," Selena raised an eyebrow.
"What kind of treasures?"
"Treasures that no one in H country can refuse," Matilda sighed. "The specifics haven't been revealed yet but the offer comes from
the next heir of the ruling family in Central City."
"Miss Turner, do you have any plans?" Selena asked.
"I know what I'll do," Selena tapped her forehead with delicate fingers. "I'll go see for myself when it happens."
Suddenly remembering something important, she added: Central City did indeed possess several treasures that were significant for

If Lillian brought them along as part of this deal then things could get complicated very quickly.
Matilda noticed Selena's expression and chuckled softly before saying: "When it comes to treasure troves, there are probably none
greater than those held by various noble families within our capital city."
Selena looked at her curiously and Matilda continued: "Miss Turner, when it comes to heritage and culture spanning five thousand
years - there is no other nation like ours."
"And the major families in the capital hold the vast majority of resources and wealth," Matilda said, seeing Selena's confused
expression. For sreason, she felt like laughing. "Miss Turner, you may not fully understand your own worth."
"Not to mention the Anderson family, but just speaking of the Turner family alone, their foundation in the capital is second to
none," she continued.
"If not for that fact, even after more than a decade of decline, the Turner family would not still be a thorn in the side of all major
families."
"Although their influence outside has been taken away from them, generations of accumulation within their family still remain."
