They kept a respectful distance from each other as they made their way to his office. When they entered the office, his secretary quickly placed several files on his table then excused herself and closed the door behind her.

Frederick took off his suit jacket and tossed it on the massage chair. He turned around and glanced at her, but did not say a word.

As she fiddled with her hands, Alicia suddenly felt a trace of disdain from him. She raised her head at once, and stared back at him.

Why was he staring at her like that? She was not the one who started it.

Her eyes suddenly fell on a heart-shaped box which was placed on the table in the corner of the room. There was a beautiful bow tie on the box.

Chocolates! Alicia immediately recognized it at a glance. She immediately smiled.

After arranging the documents on the table, Frederick sat down and said, "Chere!" Alicia trotted towards him but stopped to help him put away his suit jacket.

She knew it! Alicia immediately accepted the gift with a smile on her face. "Thank you!" As soon as she opened it, she was met with chocolates in all kinds of shapes and decided to choose a heart- shaped one. Alicia took a bite. It was rich and tasted like coffee. Frederick could not seem to wrap around his head about what happened just now as he held her in his arms. "What was all the commotion about?" This little devil was a mafor trouble! She'd just only cback to work, and she was already in

trouble! The office had always been calm and peaceful, but that had been m broken the moment she joined. M Though there weren't any major issues, there were minor problems popping up every now and then! If he hadn't made it back in time, she'd probably have been bullied again! "You have no idea! Here's what happened..."

Looking down, Alicia was furious. She had a feeling that the two of them must have plotted against her. She put the box of chocolates aside and wrapped one hand around him. "Hubby, I think you should fire me! I don't like this place at all!" She felt as if she was being treated unfairly in the company! "There you go again!" Frederick's face darkened and he looked displeased. It was obvious that people were jealous of her! But if he let her go, he would be even more worried! Alicia pursed her lips and was a little unhappy. She popped a chocolate into her mouth and chewed it hard. Then, she stood up from his lap. She snorted.

"Ally."

Alicia shoved his hand away and said, "Mr. Clements, is there anything else you would liketo do? If there is nothing else, I need to get back to work. I have a report that I need to work on!" Just as Frederick was about to say something, they heard a knock on the door, Alicia quickly stood on the opposite side of the table and Frederick quickly hid the chocolates in his desk drawer.
