He buried his head in Rachel’s neck, his warm breath tickling her skin. But Rachel did not dodge. and she just let

him hug her.

She caressed David’s back and asked gently. “Can you hug me for the rest of your life?”

David looked down at her unblinkingly. “You said it yourself.”
