The Vixen's cursed energy arced over the forest like neurons firing in the brain. It fled with every intention of losing the pesky Spirit that was chasing it. The red and black energy arced over a set of trees, fusing enough cursed energy into it. The large trees ripped themselves out of the ground. Large eye holes and a sharp mouth grew from the trees.
"Tch." Lee Seng slid to a stop as the red and black energy continued on. "I don't have time for you." Cthulu's Moon appeared in his left hand as the tree ents roared and rushed at him. Lee Seng ran straight for the first ent and readied the blade. "Gravitum: Piercing Flash and Dash!"
Lee Seng rocketed straight for the ent, weaving himself through the ent's branch arms as he slashed at it. He disappeared and slashed four more times before moving to the next ent. The remaining ents swung for Lee Seng, who disappeared quicker than their attacks. Huge slashes grew in the bodies of the ents, quickly exploding to bits as Lee Seng slid behind them. Lee Seng twirled his blade and continued forward.
"Forgive me, forest." Lee Seng whispered. Darkness around Lee Seng's katana. He moved straight into the nearest shadow and began to blink forwards. "Eldritch Clones. Find the energy!" Four clones split from Lee Seng, moving in different directions. Lee Seng continued forward, searching for the red and black energy. The forest was slowly growing more personified as time went on. Tree Ents, bush monsters and even annoying Leaf Faes.
Lee Seng moved through most. He didn't need to waste energy on these guys. He hoped none of James' team would follow after him. He needed to find the cursed energy before things got worse. Lee Seng ducked as a bush monster fired out a blade of leaves and twigs at it. Lee Seng turned and pointed at it, crushing it to bits before continuing on.
[Ping! Bush Monster has been slain!]
[Ping! 2 Ents have been slain!]
[Ping! 8 Leaf Fae have been slain!]
[Ping!] [Ping!] [Ping!]
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe other clones were working hard in moving forward. Lee Seng slid past an ent, releasing a blast of light underneath the ent. The ent lit up on fire as Lee Seng slid onto his feet and turned. He wrapped the tree ent in a thin layer of gravity before moving on.
'No need to start forest fires.' Lee Seng thought.
[Clone 4 has found a trace of the Curse!]
'Switch.' Lee Seng thought. Tendrils shot out of Lee Seng's body and wrapped around him. In an instant, Lee Seng was moving out of the tendrils where Clone 4 was. Red and black energy snaked through the forest in the distance. Lee Seng pushed forward, pulling his clones back to him.
The red and black energy jumped straight into the thickest part of the forest and disappeared into the darkness. Lee Seng slowed to a stop. Lee Seng brushed past some trees, hoping they wouldn't come alive and squash him to death.
The forest was near pitch black. Lee Seng couldn't tell where the red and black energy went. He pushed through the last pair of trees blocking his way in and popped out into a small clearing. Even with Lee Seng's dark sight, he was able to guess this place was somehow made with the forest.
'The forest made this? How?' Lee Seng looked up and saw the canopies of leaves and branches above him. The leaves rattled as the wind blew past. The temperature was dropping in here. Lee Seng slowly spun around, noticing the entrance he had come through was no longer there. 'Is this… some sort of magic?' The leaves shook and Lee Seng caught the trees moving.
Lee Seng's eyes narrowed. He wanted to ask why they did that, but he had a feeling it wasn't the forest doing it. It was the Curse. A glowing set of red eyes appeared behind Lee Seng. A glowing grinning mouth appeared and slowly moved towards Lee Seng in the darkness. Lee Seng slowly turned.
'Detecting energy in this odd place is hard… Energies are bouncing all around… I can't really feel what's happening.' Lee Seng thought. The red energy pounced, hitting Lee Seng across the back before disappearing. Lee Seng hissed in pain as his wounds instantly healed. He turned and slashed at nothing. The red energy materialized behind him, again and went in for another blow.
[Ping!]
Lee Seng turned, blocking the attack with Cthulu's Moon. Lee Seng noticed a misty conglomeration of energy growing. A furred face similar to the Vixen's puppet appeared in front of him. It wasn't male or female, it was something in between. Jagged fox ears appeared as its claws pushed down onto Lee Seng.
Lee Seng sent the curse flying away from him. He watched the red energy curse disappear into nothing. Lee Seng pushed his energy out and watched the room light up.
[Cosmic Light Manipulation has destroyed Magical Darkness due to its innate ability.]
The red curse flew out at Lee Seng from the right. Lee Seng blocked the attack, watching red and black energy arc outwards. The curse shrieked in anger as more clones of itself rushed at Lee Seng. Lee Seng glanced and watched a black wisp appear before the cursed energy clones plunged their claws into him. He grunted in pain as the katana fell from his hands.
The curse smiled and watched as Lee Seng's eyes faded. His body began to fall apart into tiny tendrils. The curse's smile faded as the clones hazed the area.
"Looking for me?" Lee Seng asked. The curse whipped its head to the right and noticed Lee Seng was standing there.
"How did you—"
"Do that?" Lee Seng finished its question. He focused on twirling Cthulu's Moon as a quiet humming noise started. "I guess you aren't a strong enough curse yet. Y'know, I was worried for a second that you somehow became the forest, but it looks like most of your energy is condensed into this place… Did you build this yourself?" He took a couple steps forward before the curse attacked him.
"New Moon Stance." Lee Seng released Cthulu's Moon and watched as it spun by itself, blocking the attacks. Lee Seng lifted his right hand and pointed at the red energy with two fingers. "Bang!" A black beam fired out, moving past the spinning katana. The red curse dodged, ignoring the attack as it bounced away. Lee Seng whipped his finger to the left and watched as the katana flew straight for the curse as the darkness bolt disappeared.
The red energy dissipated, letting the katana and dark bolt fly into each other. Cthulu's Moon absorbed it and flew back into Lee Seng's left hand. The red energy appeared, swinging at Lee Seng, who blocked and pushed the red energy away.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm'Stun.' Lee Seng's eyes twinkled. The red curse grunted as cosmic energy froze them in place. Lee Seng moved forward, holding the katana to his right.
"Crescent Stance: Devouring Cross." Lee Seng swung forward, horizontally, watching the darkness and wisps fly out of the blade. The curse shrieked as Lee Seng slashed another time. The trees around them began to shake violently as the curse tried to dissipate. Lee Seng threw his right hand out. Tendrils fired out of his hand and grabbed the curse. Lee Seng's eyes glowed a bright gold as he held the curse in place.
"ARRrRGHHH!!!" The curse shrieked. "Let me go! I-I'll do anything for you!"
"Anything?" Lee Seng asked. Cthulu's Moon lit up in gold and silver light. "Well, it's not like you can help me find a cup that pours out nothing but liquid… So I'll just vanquish you and call it a day." Lee Seng lifted Cthulu's Moon and began to plunge it straight into the curse's heart.
"I-I can find that cup!" The curse shouted. It's feeble attempts to live fell on deaf ears. Lee Seng watched as the katana plunged into the curse. It began to light up, screaming in pain as Lee Seng's right hand morphed back into a hand. He pushed the sword downwards and watched as the curse ripped in half. Lee Seng swung the sword down to his side and watched as the strike continue.
The trees shook harder, raining down leaves as the curse exploded into dust. Lee Seng watched the trees split in different directions, removing him from the space.

"Hold it off for now." Lee Seng twirled the katana. "Let's check to see if the curse has lifted from the forest." Lee Seng slammed his hands together, holding Cthulu's Moon in the middle. He sucked in a breath of warm air before closing his eyes. Cthulu's Moon dissipated from his hand. "Detect."
