Blind Date Turned Proposal (Josie and Dexter)
Chapter 966 Failed To Take OffThe airport was always bustling with people, a multitude of individuals pushing their luggage back and forth, hurrying towards their own destinies.
Escorted by her bodyguards, or rather, under their control, Josie made her way towards the VIP waiting room, anticipating the arrival of seven o'clock.
Outside, a gentle rain began to fall, the droplets hitting the glass window as if they could sense her melancholic mood. It was strange, Josie thought, that she could still feel sadness even at this point.
"Ms. Warren, it's tto board," the bodyguard handed over the boarding pass.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJosie lowered her gaze and accepted it, then proceeded to the boarding bridge. Her seat was surrounded by bodyguards, all arranged by Dexter. They would personally escort her to Nalanica.
The flight attendant was announcing today's weather and flight duration over the loudspeaker, reminding passengers to turn off their mobile phones. Following the instructions, Josie lowered her head to switch off her phone, then leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes for a short nap.
The bodyguards exchanged glances, surprised by her compliance, which only made them more tense.
The airplane began to move, hovering at a low altitude, and all the dust settled. However, just as it was about to soar into the clouds, a portly man in the front seat suddenly stood up and shouted loudly, "I want to report! There's a bomb on the plane!" The cabin was suddenly thrown into chaos, with people stirring and screams overlapping. The flight attendant hurriedly stepped forward to calm everyone down.
The bodyguard abruptly stood up, stepping forward to stop the man's actions. However, the man's eyes were red, and he kept repeating, "Don't take off, don't take off. There's a bomb on the plane! We're going to die!" The police arrived swiftly, detaining the individual and causing another wave of chaos.
Josie slowly opened her eyes. Her expression was surprisingly calm.
The commotion was unending. The plane had landed again. After a stalemate that lasted nearly half an hour, the bodyguards returned from their fruitless negotiations. They approached Josie. She turned her head and asked, "What happened?" "Air traffic control. There's been a bomb threat reported. We need to conduct a search, which will likely cause a delay in takeoff." All passengers on the plane need to disembark for an investigation.
Josie didn't bother to hide her smirk. "This counts as force majeure, doesn't it? Tell Mr. Russell not to blme for this." The bodyguard felt a chill run down his spine. He never expected this kind of chaos. It was almost as if it had been prearranged.
After disembarking the plane, the police began to inspect each individual. This was the only chance to separate from the bodyguard.
Josie stepped forward first. After the inspection, she looked troubled and said to the policewoman, "I... I'm on my period. Can | please go to the restroom? If you're worried, you can cwith me!" Seeing this, the bodyguard behind immediately wanted to follow but was stopped by the policewoman.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe bodyguard could only watch as Josie walked further and further away. Sensing trouble, he immediately took out his phone to call Dexter.
Once Josie had finished up there, he saw the policewoman receive a phone call. Her expression subtly changed.
Then, she glanced at Josie and said, "You can leave now." "Thank you very much." Leaving from the direction of the restroom, Josie walked straight out of Terminal 3. The streets outside were bustling with people. Taxis and private cars flowed like a river. She walked to the end of the street and stood for a while, calculating how long it would take for her bodyguard to find her.
She wanted to escape Dexter's surveillance. She couldn't force her way out, so she could only outsmart him.
Leaving the plane in broad daylight was the only way. Josie breathed in the fresh air. She had to admit that Morgan was incredibly meticulous.
However, as tpassed, Josie did not see the vehicle arranged by Morgan. She began to sweat nervously, about to make a call, when suddenly, a Chevrolet stopped in front of her. Her eyes lit up as she saw the back door open and several strong men step out.
"You guys..."
