Heather cried out, her face flushed red.
Claudia continued to knock on the door. "Leanne? Are you there?" Morgan whispered softly, "Either way, don't be foolish." Heather felt a chill run through her body. She pushed Morgan away and said, "I can tell you, but only after the wedding is over. Otherwise, why should | trust you?" Morgan lightly tapped his cheek with the tip of his tongue.
Heather grabbed a pen, quickly wrote a line of text on a piece of paper, and then placed it inside a small lockbox. After securing the lock, she handed it to Morgan. "Once the wedding is over, I'll tell you the password." Morgan stared at the lockbox and didn't respond immediately.
"Mr. Bastille, | know you care about Josie, but if you let her ruin my wedding, there's a high chance she might end up with Dexter again. That's not an outcyou want to see, right?" The best strategy was to win his heart.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtMorgan snorted coldly, snatching the box away. "I'll be watching you from below the stage. If you dare to play any tricks, don't blme for being rude." With that, he turned and left.
Heather breathed a sigh of relief, stepped forward to close the window, and then opened the door. "Mother." Claudia held her hand, examining it closely, and asked with a hint of suspicion, "Why has your makeup coff?" Heather tried to remain calm. "Perhaps it's too hot in here. Did you need something? Why hasn't the wedding started yet?" Claudia was about to say something when an attendant hurried over. "Ms. Olsen, it's tfor you to go on stage." Everything was going according to plan, and Heather breathed another sigh of relief. She no longer wanted to waste twith Claudia. She simply wanted to step onto the stage and put her worries to rest.
"I'm coming!" "Hey..." Claudia tried to grab her, but she missed.
The atmosphere was lively. Dexter had already made his entrance. Dressed in a suit, he smiled at the camera, watching as Heather, wearing a wedding dress, walked slowly down the aisle, arm in arm with Claudia.
The camera panned to Heather, who was beaming and radiating happiness.
Flower children on either side continuously tossed petals into the air. She looked like a princess from a fairy tale, earning admiration from everyone.
Claudia, holding her, slowly approached Dexter. Her facade was calm and collected, but beneath the surface, her emotions were a whirlwind of complexity.
Everyone in the audience watched this dreamlike scene unfold. Swere envious, others jealous. When Dexter married Josie, they didn't even have a wedding ceremony. Now, with Liana, they were making such a grand spectacle.
"Idiot," Summer muttered under her breath, sitting in the audience.
At this table, everyone was family. Laura sat right next to her. "Sum..." "What are you looking at? You're no different." Laura pursed her lips. Zach, who was beside her, didn't rush to her defense. Instead, he watched the scene on the stage with ease and composure.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmOut of the corner of her eye, she glanced at Morgan, who was seated in the distance. His posture was upright, and he was casually fiddling with a box, seemingly indifferent to everything happening around him.
Josie and Mark were also witnessing these scenes unfold live before their eyes.
They had been forced to listen to Calvin's speech for nearly an hour, and finally, the crucial moment had arrived.
The wedding dress that adorned Heather had once been Josie's dream. But now, as she looked at it, she felt nothing but disgust.
"Mr. Olsen, under normal circumstances, today would have been the day you walked her down the aisle. Yet, here you are, staying with me. Don't you feel any regret?" The numbness in her body had gradually subsided, replaced by a spreading pain.
Mark focused on the screen. "It doesn't matter as long as | can see her get married." Josie pursed her lips, calculating the tin her head. If everything had gone according to plan, Justin should have already arrived.
