After saying that, Eddy ran down the stairs to call his family doctor.

However, the doctor had never seen a patient act like that before. “We need a psychologist,” he declared.

Hence, Eddy went to find a psychologist.

Without proper guidance, Caroline felt like an insect trapped in a huge spider web. She could only struggle

desperately within the net.

Pain spread through her, invading each part of her body.

“Ah!”

Even though Eddy was downstairs, he could still hear Caroline’s painful and sharp screams.

He covered one ear as he pressed his phone against the other ear. He was on a call with a psychologist.

I need you to come over now!” he said.

When Simon saw that, he walked forward. “Mr. Eddy, should we give Ms. Evans some medicine since

she’s in so much pain? Perhaps there are other ways to soothe her pain …”

Eddy immediately thought of Kirk.

Eddy yelled, “Why don’t you go and treat her since you’re so capable?”

Simon was stunned. He had no idea why Eddy was so angry.

“Mr. Eddy…”

“Enough!” Eddy inhaled deeply. “You should go out.”

Simon could only leave the room.

After Simon left, Eddy was the only one left in the living room. Caroline’s piercing scream reverberated

though the room.

Eddy looked up at the second floor.

“If Uncle Kirk were here, he would definitely have a plan. But there’s no way he’s the only one who knows

what to do. I can also take good care of Caroline without him. Yes. I can also do it,” Eddy thought.

After convincing himself, Eddy waited for the psychologist to come.

When the psychologist came to Caroline’s room, he was stunned to see an almost maniacal Caroline.

The psychologist only snapped to his senses when Eddy pushed him.

“It’s my first time seeing such a patient. Can you briefly describe her condition to me?”

“I only know that she lost her memories.”

The psychologist asked, “Do you know how she lost her memories?”

“I don’t know.”

The psychologist was instantly perplexed. “Well, if I can’t fully understand the patient’s condition, I won’t be able to

prescribe the right treatment,” he replied.

Eddy glared at the psychologist. “I only asked you to come treat her, not to probe into her private affairs.”

His voice was low and dangerous.

“Mr. Eddy, you’ve misunderstood me.”

“I asked you to go treat her!” Eddy pointed at the room where Caroline was, enunciating each word. He resembled

a terrifying demon, especially with his veins bulging on his forehead.

Seeing that he wasn’t able to convince Eddy, the psychologist walked toward Caroline.

As he didn’t know anything about her condition, he didn’t know which treatment to use on her. Thus, he could only

inject her with a sedative.

Thankfully, Caroline fell asleep after the injection. She didn’t suffer from any side effects.

“Mr. Eddy, Ms. Evans is fine now.” The psychologist carefully walked over to Eddy.

“I’ll… I’ll head off first.”

Eddy looked at the psychologist menacingly. “Fuck off.”

The psychologist immediately ran off.

Eddy let out a sneer as he watched the psychologist leave. Just as he was about to head upstairs, his

phone rang on the table.
