The door was pushed open with a loud bang. Kirk raised his head and looked at the door.

When he saw who had arrived, he was momentarily stunned. Then, he shoved the glass bottle at his neck.

Seeing this, the newcomer barged into the room and kicked the bottle out of his hand.

However, Kirk didn’t give up. He picked up another piece of broken glass and tried to stab it into his neck.

“Fine, do it if you want. If you’re dead, I’ll have one less rival.”

The man’s voice made Kirk stop. He looked up at the newcomer, who was none other than Adrian.

Taking advantage of his distraction, Adrian snatched the glass shard from Kirk’s hand.

He looked down and noticed the wounds on Kirk’s hands. Kirk’s skin had gotten cuts from the glass.

He wordlessly took a towel from his bag and tossed it at Kirk.

Kirk glanced at him, but he didn’t accept the towel.

Adrian sat down opposite him and ignored him. He simply sneered, “You have big balls, don’t you? If you

don’t treat that wound, it’ll get infected.

Kirk silently picked up the towel and covered his hand with it. Then, he struggled to sit up from the ground.

After a long while, he asked, “Why are you back here?”

“Do you think I could stay away after hearing that something had happened to Caroline?”

Adrian looked at Kirk. He had already considered beating up Kirk before returning to Easton, but now …

“How do you know about that?”

Kirk said coldly, “Seems like you were paying a lot of attention to her despite being in Macldo.”

Kirk looked up at Adrian. They hadn’t seen each other for a while, but Adrian had changed a lot.

He was less jovial than before. Instead, he was more gloomy. However, he was also calmer.

As his rival in love, he should hate Adrian right now. However, he could still talk to him calmly. He had to
