“But that’s not right. That person seems to be in my dream.”

The more Caroline talked about it, the more confused she was. She grabbed her hair in pain.

Caroline blinked in confusion. This man looked familiar. After a while, she asked, “Were you the one who

took me away from the wedding?”

Adrian smiled helplessly. “I’m Adrian Sorkin. Have you forgotten?”

A look of realization appeared on Caroline’s face. “So, it’s you. Y-You’ve changed a lot. No, I should say

that you’ve grown up.

Clearly, Adrian wasn’t a very important person in Caroline’s memory. He didn’t know what to feel about

that.

“Caroline.”

Adrian became very serious. “Do you want to leave the country with me or Mr. Yates?”

Caroline was puzzled. “What’s the difference?”

Adrian explained, “If you leave with me, you’ll be following my arrangements. But if you leave with Mr.

“Mr. Y?” Caroline looked at Sean in surprise.

“Are you one of Mr. Y’s people?”

“You can say that.” Sean nodded and looked at Adrian in confusion.

If Adrian really wanted Caroline to leave with him, he shouldn’t have pointed out that Sean was on Kirk’s

side.

Now that he had done it, there was no chance of him winning.

“Then, I’d better leave the country with Mr. Yates.”

Caroline apologetically said to Adrian, “Thank you for saving me. I’ll treat you to a meal when I get the

Adrian smiled at her familiar words. “Okay.”

After they had decided who Caroline would leave with, Gwen took her for a check-up. Sean and Adrian were the

only ones left in the treatment room.

“It’s time for me to go,” Adrian said goodbye to Sean sadly.

However, Sean stopped him. “You shouldn’t have told Caroline I was one of Kirk’s people.”

Adrian smirked. “I’m just upset that Caroline still depends on Kirk despite losing her memories. So I

wanted to take a gamble.

“As it turns out, Caroline will always choose him. It didn’t matter what she became or whether she

remembered him.”

After saying that, Adrian smiled wryly. “I had already suffered a crushing defeat long ago, but I refuse to

admit it.”

He took a long breath. Then, he turned to Sean and said, “That’s right. I refuse to admit that fact. “Let Kirk know

that our rivalry is still on. So he should be careful while Caroline is out of the country.”
