Chapter 601 The restaurant was in complete chaos. Nina was still eating, but Scott and Wilfred becalert.
"Nina, there's a fire! We need to get out now," Scott said.
"Alright," Nina replied, following them out of the restaurant.
The restaurant was on the ground floor, so if there was a fire, they could quickly escape. Soon, the restaurant was empty. All the customers were outside, trying to see where the fire was. The restaurant owner was still inside.

"What's going on?" a customer asked nervously. "Is there a fire?" "The alarm went off, so there must be a fire!" "Look, the sprinklers are on!" They were talking about the fire sprinkler system inside that had been activated. Amidst the chatter, the owner cout, looking embarrassed. "I'm so sorry, everyone. Our fire system malfunctioned and set off the alarm. I apologize for the scare!" The owner bowed to everyone. "I'll prepare ssmall gifts to make up for our mistake!" The customers were relieved it was just a false alarm.
"Glad it wasn't a real fire. Safety first!" The customers were polite and understanding, so they did not pursue the matter further. They started going back inside, but the power was out, making the interior dim. It definitely was not a good place to eat anymore.
Nina barely had tto wipe her mouth before feeling something was off. How could the fire system malfunction like that, setting off the alarm and sprinklers? She looked at their table. It was now soaked and the dishes turned into soup.
"Did you get enough to eat?" Scott asked, not expecting such an incident. "If not, I'll treat you to another meal." "I'm not hungry anymore," Nina replied. Originally, she had an appetite, but she had lost her appetite now. The owner approached, holding small gifts. "Miss, I'm really sorry about this. Here's a little gift from our restaurant. I hope you don't mind." The owner was a gentleman, handing the gift to Nina with both hands. Meanwhile, two men were sneaking around in the kitchen area.
"See? I'm good at this. There's no need to start a real fire. Just a little tap will do," James boasted quietly.
"Do you think they'll go to another restaurant? Should we set off another alarm there?" asked the man beside him, clearly a soldier in his twenties. Felix was honest by nature, lacking James's tricks.
They were afraid that Nina and the others might go to another place to eat again and upset Nash.
"I'm not sure yet, but this worked well," James replied.
"Then let's keep a close watch," Felix responded.

"The owner is too polite," Nina said, accepting the gift. "But what om happened to your fire system? Need any help?"
The owner waved his hands quickly.
m "No, no, just a minor issue. Ilget e someone to fix it soon." Nina looked at the owner. "We have professionals here. They can take a look." She pointed to Scott and Wilfred behind her.
"Really, it's fine," the owner insisted. "I can't trouble you like that."
Nina's gaze shifted toward the kitchen. Lately, she had felt like she was being followed everywhere, making her suspect that this alarm was also set off deliberately. Nina decided to head toward the kitchen.
