Chapter 625 Her face lit up with joy as she quickly answered the call, "Scott!" But the voice on the other end was speaking in a language she did not understand.

Nina's expression froze. "What are you saying? You're not Scott?" The voice on the other end was male, and the background noise was chaotic, making it impossible to understand.

He will cback safely!" But if he was indeed in danger, what could she do to help? Nina could not shake the worry. Despite telling herself that Scott would be fine, the guilt gnawed at her. She could not help but think, "I have to find him!" Penelope stopped her. "You can't just leave. What about the ? And you have to think about your baby!" There were so many responsibilities tying Nina down. She could not just leave. The internal struggle was tearing her apart.

She sank into a chair, holding her head in her hands, feeling utterly powerless.
