Chapter 219 – Cat Dad is VERY BLESSED!
The next day, Xiaomao woke up at 4 AM and came out of the guild’s lobby. He rushed to the fountain to see the updated tournament brackets and patch notes.
As Xiaomao had expected, there were changes, and the tournament brackets were updated.
In today’s match, Xiaomao’s guild was up against a no-name guild from World Two. If he defeated his opponent, he might have to fight Spartan Guild in the afternoon match.
Xiaomao fought them before. This team consisted of famous beta testers, such as Master Yeet and Marcus, who currently occupied the third and fourth ranks on the level leaderboard. They knew the game’s mechanics like the back of their hands as they also used the same strategy as Xiaomao during the second round.
Currently, Master Yeet and Marcus’s levels were 289 and 287 respectively. Aside from Xiaomao and Ran Tae, they were the top dogs of World Three. It was said that they worked with the insiders of the game company, and they knew about the hidden dungeons that they could exploit, such as the Pangu Cultist Dungeon.
Xiaomao wasn’t afraid of them. However, he was unsure if they were already brainwashed by Pangu since they could enter the church.
As Xiaomao scanned through the tournament brackets to see his future opponents, he noticed that many well-known Pangu supporters were pitted in his guild’s bracket. Obviously, they were arranged here for a reason.
After confirming his next opponent and the potential rival, Xiaomao checked the update log announcement.

Guild War, Rules Updated!
– Changes in the protection zone. Before the change, no enemy can get within 200 meters radius of the obelisk towers except the air units. Now, the obelisks can hit anything that enters the 200-meter boundary zone.
– Added new structures; Airship Dockyard, Airport, AA Artillery, Gravity Tower
– Added new warships, fighter jets, and bombers.
– Added new mechanical vehicle; Qi Jamming Truck.
– Increase quest rewards.
– Quest NPCs no longer help players in battle.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt– Added new battlefields; Desert, Plain, Forest, Jungle, Savanna, Urban, Open Sea, Archipelago, Islands, Lake, River, Tribulation Clouds, Flying Islands, Floating Continents, Mountain, Basin, North Pole, and Beach, MUNYA!
– Before the beginning of each round, every guild’s participating members can vote for their desired battlefield. Each guild leader may pick up to three maps, and the total sum of voters’ levels will be collected and calculated for that round’s theme map. The battlefield with the highest collective level points will be selected as the theme of that round, MUNYA!
– Guild Blessings are active in Event World, MUNYA!
– Participating guild members can teleport to their home world when they are not in a match, MUNYA!
.
Xiaomao read through the first half and was annoyed. As he had predicted, Pangu nerfed the air-raid tactic right away.
However, in the second half, Xiaomao was pleasantly surprised.
New battlefield maps were originally introduced in the second Cross-World Guild War, but it was pushed to this round. Strangely, the additional rules, where every guild’s main roster members could vote and use their sum of levels to calculate the total points, were strange and biased.
The second-last rule was also helpful to Xiaomao. As his guild had the advantage of multiple blessings from two deities, his guild’s overall power was now skyrocketed. If they could fight on a water-based battlefield, they would have an overwhelming advantage over the other guilds.
As for the last change, Xiaomao loved it. Now, he could return to Slave Dungeon and transport the requested legendary weapons here to fight.
Still, the second half of the changes were odd. They didn’t look like they were created to suppress his guild. Instead, it benefited him.
When Xiaomao noticed the “MUNYA” pattern, he understood why these rules appeared.
‘Who was it? Was this Mu-Nyang, Mir, or Meowmeow’s work? But Mir doesn’t munya, so that leaves Mu-Nyang and Meowmeow. Are they strong enough to compete with Pangu?’
Xiaomao couldn’t help but smile. He was proud that he joined the cat alliance. Now, he could munya with pride.
“Bless the Cathulhus, munya!”
Xiaomao chuckled and sent a text to Halal, wondering if he could lobby the votes. Unfortunately, Halal was offline.
‘Ah, too bad. Anyway, we have a way out. I can exploit this!’

Meanwhile, Pan Mei hadn’t slept a wink. He stared at his laptop screen and furrowed his brows. Then, he turned to the company’s employees, who had been gathering in his suite hotel room to add new rules to the game.
20 workers in casual clothes looked exhausted, and their eyelids drooped as they hadn’t slept for 48 hours. They chugged energy drinks and coffee to stay awake and continued working.
None of them dared to make eye contact with Pan Mei.
Pan Mei groaned and questioned his subordinates.
“I don’t remember adding the battlefield rules or complementing the patch. Who did this?!”
No one answered, but they sweated profusely.
Noticing that nobody uttered a word, Pan Mei smacked his laptop’s keyboard and broke it.
“I said – WHO DID IT?!”
Again, the employees lowered their heads and kept quiet.
“No one?! Fine, I’ll check the log file. Let’s see who the fuck did something unnecessary!”
Pan Mei turned to his laptop, but he was unable to work with it anymore. The motherboard was smashed, and the screen no longer showed an image.
With a dark face, Pan Mei turned around and pushed an employee with a gaming laptop away.
“This notebook is mine now. I’ll give you money to buy another one.”
“Y-Yes, sir.”
Pan Mei didn’t fear viruses and keyloggers. He remote-accessed the game server’s database with that gaming laptop and searched for the files.
Soon, Pan Mei found the trace of the edit. He opened it and read it.
However, instead of finding the usual notes that showed the update time and the employee’s signature, Pan Mei found a YouTube link.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“A link in the log file? The hell?”
Since the link was directed to YouTube, Pan Mei clicked on it. Again, he didn’t care if the link might send him to a virus-infested website.
A few seconds later, a web browser showed the YouTube page. In addition, it was automatically played. An old song from 1987 started with an iconic rhythm, and the handsome singer, who stood in front of a stand microphone, began dancing by swinging his hands side-to-side.
“PFFT!”
The employees knew the song, and they couldn’t help but laughed.
‘We’re no stranger to love! You know the rules, and so do I!’
As soon as the song came out, Pan Mei flipped the screen backward and crushed the laptop. He yanked the upper part of the laptop and threw it toward the hotel window, breaking it.
“What’s funny?” Pan Mei glared at his employees. They lowered their heads again, but they secretly smiled.
Before Pan Mei began rampaging, a three-eye caracal cat entered the hotel suite through the broken window. He landed on an employee’s head and jumped to the table in front of Pan Mei.
“Nian? What are you doing here?”
Nian bore his fangs and spoke in human language, not caring about the bystanders.
“I sense Mu-Nyang’s karma from you.”
“Mu-Nyang, what?!”
Pan Mei paused for several seconds. Then, he turned to his broken computers and realized something.
Nian looked at the broken laptops and scoffed.
“What you touched earlier has already been tampered with. I’m sure Mu-Nyang did it.”
“…”
Pan Mei narrowed his eyes as he managed to put pieces of puzzles together. He deeply groaned once again.
“Fucking cat. I hate cats!”
“I also hate humans. I wish all humans die a horrible death,” Nian snickered and turned around. He jumped out of the window and disappeared.
