However, what Justin said made sense. Who could be happy seeing their house bombed?
Rosalie didn't get mad at Justin. This time, Theodore was to blame.
"I apologize to you on his behalf. I'm sorry," Rosalie said. "Don't worry, I'llpensate you for your house. I'll do it right now—let
She then pulled out a checkbook from her bag. "10,000 dollars in addition to your house. Givea figure."
Justin stared at the checkbook in Rosalie's hands and remained silent.
"What's the matter?" she asked, concerned. "Do you feel unwell again?"
Justin shook his head. "No. | just haven't thought about the amount."

Rosalie pondered for a moment before saying, "How about this? I'll send someone to evaluate your house."
"Can you go for a stroll with me? Let's talk about money matters next time," Justin said.
Rosalie kept her checkbook away. "Sure."
She brought a wheelchair and carefully helped Justin on it. Then, she pushed him to the garden in the hospital for sfresh air.
Justin sat quietly under the setting sun, a slight breeze blowing up his hair.
Green grass spread across the garden, looking lush and luxuriously soft like a carpet. The orangey-red sunlight shone on every
blade of grass, reflecting their bright and mesmerizing colors. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves, sending a melodious harmony
into the air.
The lake amid the garden reflected the sun's rays like a mirror. It was clear, its surface quiet. The entire scene was akin to a silent
poem.
Rosalie was worried Justin might catch a cold, so she covered his legs with a blanket. "After you recover, you can continue being
active as you had been."
Justin turned around and smiled warmly at her. "Can | ask you a question?"
"What is it?"
"Will any woman fancy a man like me?"
Rosalie stood stunned for a moment, not expecting him to ask her something like that.

She crouched and said, "Of course. You're great. I'm sure there's someone out there who will love you."
"But what if | end up hurting her instead? Even if such a woman existed, | might not be able to be with her," Justin said.
"Justin," Rosalie said, "if two people are really in love, they'll ovee all obstacles and difficulties."
Justin looked at her in silence for a long tbefore retracting his gaze and looking forward. "Let's hope what you said is true."
"Rose," Justin said, "promiseone thing."
"What is it?" she asked.
"After I'm discharged, don't tell anyone that you know Vincent or Justin Lynch."
Seeing the solemn look on his face, Rosalie could guess why he said that. And so, she nodded.
"Alright, | got it."
