Chasing The Rejected Luna’s Heart Chapter 158

“What do you mean leaving?” She questioned as she got closer and stared into my eyes.

“Clara...”

“Don’t you dare Clara me. You always do this to me! Pushaway when things get rough! | thought we were a

team!” She screamed as tears rolled down her cheeks and | sighed then tried to reach out for her but she moved

away.

“Why are you making things difficult, Clara? You know that things are getting rough. | mean you're getting

targeted now. | cannot risk you getting hurt” | tried to explain to her but | could already see the stubborn line on

her forehead.

“I can take care of myself by your side” She argued and | smiled.

“I don’t doubt that but | won't risk your safety and especially not our children’s safety” | told her and she

frowned.

“Damon...”

“There's no room for argument, Clara. I've already made up my mind so prepare to leave tonight” | said to her

with finality in my voice and she pouted.

“You don’t get to decide for me. I'm not leaving, you cannot make me” She uttered stubbornly and I sighed.

“Leave, | want to speak to my wife alone” | told everyone without taking my eyes off Clara.

As soon as everyone was gone, | grabbed onto her face just as she broke out sobbing.

“You always do this to me. Why?” She muttered as she cried on my chest and my heart broke seeing her this

way but no matter how much | wanted to keep her by my side, it was obvious | couldn't because | couldn't fight

and keep her safe at the stime.

“Please understand where I'm coming from, my love. | just want to protect you” | murmured and she frowned.

“Then who's going to protect you?” She questioned and my heart broke when | heard the crack in her voice.

| couldn’t help placing a soft kiss on her lips.

“I won't die without seeing our children, Clara. Plus, | can’t stand the idea of being away from you so I'll make

sure | don’t get killed and when everything is done and over with, I'll cget you and we'll go far away for a

while. Just the two of us, doesn’t that sound good?” | questioned softly and she nodded.

“It sounds like a dream” She replied and | smiled.

“It will be a reality soon enough” | replied before placing a kiss on the tip of her nose.

“Where am | going?” She questioned after | pulled away and | heaved a sigh of relief knowing | had finally gotten

to her.

“It’s a place that only Luca and | know about. We'll be the ones to drop you off tonight” | told her and she sighed.

“How long do | have to stay without you?” She questioned and | smiled.

“I'll make sure | end this quickly so | can run back to you as fast as | can” | murmured and she sighed. Before

grabbing the rim of my pants. “Make love tobefore we leave” She stated and | grinned.

“You don’t have to say it twice, baby” | murmured and she shrieked as I lifted her in my arms and carried her up

to the room and had my fill of her over and over again till both our bodies couldn't take it anymore.

It didn’t take long for the sky to get

dark and even when | knew it was tto take Clara to the safe house,

“We need to leave now because we need to get there before dawn. It’s quite far” | said to her and she sighed but

said nothing else.

After laying there for a few minutes, we got up and got dressed to leave. Heading down, Luca was already

waiting for us by the door.

“Her things have already been

loaded into the car. Can | speak to

you privately, Alpha?” He uttered and | raised an eyebrow. The only tLuca asked to speak toin private

“Can you go wait in the car? We'll be there soon” | said to Clara as | placed my hand on her back and she rolled

away before | could stop her.

| let out a sigh as Luca walked up to me.

“This better be worth making her angry over” | said to him and he nodded.

heard her speaking to someone on the phone but before | could hear clearly, she hung up probably

coming so | checked her phone and this was the last number she called” He uttered then brought out the phone

from his back pocket and handed it to me.

“It's her uncle’s” As soon as he said that, | squeezed the phone so hard that | almost shattered it.

“Why is she so fucking stubborn?” | questioned through clenched teeth and he sighed.

“She's just trying to help because she’s worried about you” He uttered and | sighed because | knew he was right

but still.

“Tighten the security around the safe house. | don’t want her running off to meet her uncle” | uttered and he

nodded before bringing out his phone and making scalls.

| walked out of the house and found Clara leaning against the car with a frown and as much as | wanted to scold

her for calling her uncle, I didn’t want to make her more upset than she already was.

| walked up to her and even though | was standing in front of her, she pretended not to see me.

“Ignoringwon't makego away little devil” | murmured with a smirk and tried to kiss her but she turned

her head away.

“Well you will be leavingsoon so it doesn’t matter, does it?” She questioned and | sighed before pulling her

close.

“Giveone week. I'll handle everything in one week and cget you” | told her and as soon as she stared

up atwith hopeful eyes, my heart melted.

“You promise?” She questioned softly and | nodded.

“I promise” | replied and that beautiful smile I loved so much appeared on her face.

“Then I'll count down the days till | see you again and if you don’t cgetafter one week then I'll cget

you no matter where you are”...
