Chapter 596 The Death Of My Son

In order to avoid Emrys and the others, Teagan decided to call Gilbert himself to find out the truth of the

situation.

Just then, Ems took the initiative to speak. “We encountered Gilbert at Westwind Wolf Hunting

Ground.”

Teagan stopped in his tracks, blurting out, “And then?”

“And then, I killed him,” Emrys replied nonchalantly.

Teagan’s eyes widened with a mix of shock and disbelief at Emrys‘ words.

Emrys continued, “Gilbert used a friendly competition as a cover, trying to frame me for murder and

theft. But I saw through his scheme and killed him.”

He spoke with a calmness that belied the gravity of the situation.

After finishing his explanation, Emrys looked at Teagan with a half–smile, observing the changes in his

expression.

As expected, Teagan’s face became incredibly expressive.

His heart raced in his chest.

He felt frozen, like a statue.

Emrys‘ mention of “murder and theft” indicated that their plan was progressing as expected, at least up

to the point of framing and setting traps. Everything was going smoothly.



But at this stage, victory seemed within reach.

The accusation had been set in motion, and all they needed was a skilled individual to take down

Emrys legitimately.

How could anything go wrong?

Was it possible that Gilbert didn’t have a chance to escape and call for reinforcements before Emrys

killed him in the wolf hunting ground?

The likelihood of this was high.

Above all, he refused to believe that Emrys had the audacity to kill Gilbert. After all, Gilbert’s father was

dare to kill him?

Teagan’s face alternated between pale and flushed, his eyes flickering as he spoke. “Mr. Lund, you

certainly have a talent for jokes. I… I have some matters to attend to, so I won’t keep you company any

longer.”

After speaking, he quickly left the area and went to a secluded place to call Gilbert,



courtyard.

“Emrys, come out immediately!”

It was Bernard’s voice.

This roar startled the entire Langford family. Fear filled their faces as they rushed to the entrance of the

courtyard, eager to see what had angered Bernard, the law guardian, to

such an extent.

Samuel, along with his two brothers, Alpheus and Teagan, also hurried outside.

Confusion was evident on everyone’s faces.

Only Teagan’s face showed not confusion, but unease.

An intense sense of unease!

Could it be that what Emrys had said earlier was true? Had he truly managed to enrage Bernard to

such an extent? Could he have really killed Gilbert?

This would bring catastrophe upon the Langford family!

Outside the gates of the Langford family’s courtyard, Bernard’s face was pale, his body radiating with

murderous intent. His crimson eyes resembled those of a ravenous beast, ready to devour its prey.

He had only recently taken on the role of guardian, intending to keep a low profile for a while.



Upon witnessing Bernard in such a state, Samuel was quite frightened. With genuine concern and fear,

he asked, “Mr. Bernard, what on earth has happened to make you so enraged?”

“What was it that enraged me?”

With a fierce expression, Bernard clenched his teeth and said, “Emrys killed my son. What else could

possibly infuriate me?”


