Chapter 847 Objective
“Rabid Gang? Definitely not a reputable sect.”
The crowd was abuzz with chatter, while Wyatt and his family were intently focused on the figure in the mask. It
was as if they were trying to see through the mask, to catch a glimpse of the face beneath.
“This is not Emrys. Their body shapes are different.”
Ameera shook her head after staring for a while,
Wyatt didn’t comment.
Sylvia pondered for a moment before saying, “It’s hard to say for sure right now. Emrys had once chosen a book
called ‘Shapeshifting Technique’ from our library. Perhaps he has changed his appearance.”
“That's possible. Let's find a way to investigate later,” Ameera said.
Sylvia's expression faltered. Of course she knew what her mother was thinking. She was probably going to ask
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇther to approach Sword King’s inheritor, just like she did last tat
the Crimson Sun Sect.
Sylvia had already grown accustomed to it and did not raise any objections.
Ruben brought Emrys to the Sword King’s Hall. Devon and Caden eventually followed reluctantly, standing
silently beside them.
Emrys looked at Ruben and asked, “Can you now explain why you calledthe sect leader?”
Ruben nodded and explained, “This is the objective left by the Heavenly Sword King for us. We three sword sects
originally belonged to one sect called the Sword King Sect, founded by the Heavenly Sword King himself.
However, shortly after the sect wast founded, the Heavenly Sword King left for Mount Jacaster. Before leaving,
the Heavenly Sword King said that he left behind an inheritance on Sword King Mountain. Whoever could obtain
that inheritance would becthe new sect master of our Sword King Sect. Furthermore, the Heavenly Sword
King ordered us to distribute three hundred sword. statuettes every so often. Anyone who obtained a statute
would have the qualification to comprehend the sword energy on Sword King Mountain. The Heavenly Sword
King’s energy ion was clear: he wanted the destined one to spread throughout Mount Kushburn, not just be
limited to Sword King Sect. Regardless of who eventually obtained the
1/3
inheritance, we must unconditionally support them as the new sect master of our Sword King Sect. We've been
following the Heavenly Sword King’s objective for these years. However, later on, due to internal conflicts in
beliefs, the Sword King Sect split into three, becoming the Soul Sword Sect, Origin Sword Sect, and Spirit Sword
Sect.”
Ruben explained everything slowly.
Emrys finally understood. Ruben calling him the sect leader wasn’t to pass the position of the Soul Sword Sect’s
sect leader to him, but rather to make him the leader of all three
sects.
Interesting!
As Emrys glanced at Devon and Caden, he saw their unpleasant expressions and guessed their thoughts.
After the Sword King Sect was divided into three, they each thrived within their respective sects. How could they
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmwillingly let Emrys rise above them?
Only Ruben, the optimist, would see things this way.
Emrys asked knowingly, “You mentioned earlier that every so often, you distribute three hundred sword
statuettes. But why did | hear there were only a hundred statuettes?”
Ruben replied, “You'd have to ask the two sect leaders of the Origin Sword Sect and Spirit Sword Sect.
Clearly, the hundred sword statuettes were all distributed by the Soul Sword Sect. As for the other two sword
sects, they probably hadn't distributed a single statute.
Reflecting on it, it did make sense. Everyone knew that there was an inheritance atop the Sword King Mountain.
Wouldn't it have been better to keep it for their own sect? Why would they want to share such a thing?
Moreover, since the Heavenly Sword King had been gone for so long, and the Sword King Sect had already
disbanded, there was no need to take sof the sect’s objectives too seriously.
With a smile that was not quite a smile, Emrys said, “Sect leaders, it seems like you didn’t take the Heavenly
Sword King’s words to heart. Since I've accepted the Sword King’s inheritance, shouldn't | punish you on behalf
of him?”
The two already had grim expressions on their faces, but upon hearing Emrys’s words, their moods darkened
even further.
