| just stood in the foyer staring back at the hundreds of eyes now staring at me. Every wolf that was creating the
loud overlapping chatter | could hear from outside had stopped dead in their tracks to look at me, the lack of
noise was deafening, the slightest sound would be able to be heard by anyone however, no noise came. | even
think a small pin dropping to the ground would sound like thunder crashing within a pitch black sky.
Seconds rolled into minutes and yet the area remained soundless and still. | gulped unsure as to what the wolves
were thinking in regards to me. Usually | was good at reading faces and expressions, however with the place
being as silent as it was, it sent my other senses into overdrive. It was like my hearing vanished and with it
everything else becheightened.
| clutched the blazer even firmer in my hand, not that doing so was possible, my knuckles going white from my
grip. It felt like an eternity passed by in which no one moved, but that stillness and tension was broken instantly
when the beta of the pack, Monroes dad, stepped forward.
“His grace and the alpha are not yet finished with their meeting. | have been tasked with showing you to your
room, your majesty. Wow, | think that was the first tthat specific title had ever been used. | began to shake,
unable to stop my body from expressing its fear, | didn’t speak to the man in front of me, | just nodded my head
and began to follow him up the stairs.
| kept my head low, watching my feet climb each and every step, trying to ignore the hundreds of eyes watching

We walked straight upstairs to the room that had been allocated toand unfortunately King Josh. | sighed as |
stepped foot inside. As soon as my sight scanned the room my eyes widened, there was absolutely no denying it,
It was a grand room,
A four post bed lay in the center with a canopy of curtains around it for privacy. The back of a large velvet sofa
rested again the foot of the bed making the frseem elongated. The closet to the side was white in color and
rested directly next to the window, which upon second glance was actually a set of doors leading to an
extravagant balcony.
The room was fit for a king. There was no disputing that.
| saw a singular large door towards the back of the room and mentally made a guess, in reality it turned out to
be an accurate guess, that it lead to an en-suite bathroom.
“His grace has given specific instructions to lock you in here until he is finished. The bathroom is equipped with
everything you may need. His grace has said you are to bathe before dinner.” Monroe's dad spoke as he took a
key out of his pocket and turned towards the door, slamming it shut and locking it behind him.
| simply stared at the door for a minute... | was alone! Completely and utterly alone. Not just in that room, but in
my situation, in my life, my experiences. | had no one.
| knew the king would get annoyed if | was to look so haggard at dinner, and 1 didn’t fancy being on the
receiving end of that anger. | was also far too cold, the only thing that would warmand my bones up now,
was a nice hot shower.
| took a clean set of the palace dungeons uniform out of my bag and sighed, already hating the feeling of the
scratchy material on my fingertips, 1 suppose wearing it though was indeed better than being completely beaten
by King Josh
It was maybe 2 hours later when the king emerged in the room, | was resting on the sofa, my damp hair was
scooped up into a messy bun that | had tried to make look at least semi respectable, my head was leant over the
back rest as | looked up at the extravagant chandelier hanging from the ivory ceiling, and my arms were folded
over my chest. | began trembling again slightly when I heard the door unlock and in he sauntered, as if he hadn't
a care in the world. He looked positively gleeful as he approached my sat form,
“My queen, | trust you have had a good day.” He quickly unfastened the top button on his regal blazer and gave
hair. “So, what was it like to see your friends again?”
| sighed and with the trembling in my arms | shrugged and remained staring at the crystals the dangled from the
roof. | thought I'd get into trouble for not speaking to him, but instead he chuckled and threw his top off without

“Your principal gaveno indication or reports of bad behavior or treason, I'm very pleased with you, perhaps |

trembling in my body worsening as my mind reeled in what was to come. “I'd have you right now if we had the
time, but | must shower. You can tellall about your day at dinner. | believe that the alpha has prepared a
feast for everyone, not that you will get any of it, | suppose it’s all down to how you behave.”
Dinner was the one thing I'd been dreading the most, every single wolf from school would be there, sat around
the large dining table knowing exactly what I've been through and yet still being utterly oblivious to the
repercussions. On top of that the current alpha, beta and Gamms would to be sat,
