“My father, is in his office. Most likely dealing with the fallout of the king's actions tonight. It was strange, Beta

Oliver just stood there, unaffected by Adrian’s words, but Gamma Wamen began seething at my brother in laws

comment.

“Watch your mouth, it is the king actions that have led him to have a stronger bond with his queen. There is no

greater outcthan that.” Gamma Warren quickly walked away while Beta Oliver just stood staring at me. He

frowned and for sunknown reason held out his hand for a handshake.

| didn’t move at first, and only took his outstretched palm in mine, after Arya had pushedtowards him

slightly.

“I'm sorry for your loss... she was your fathers partner, was she not?” Ahh well | suppose that was big of him, |

did feel the sorrow of losing Tina, | had known her sinceand Dylan were little.

“Thank you. Lord Beta.” He nodded and began to walk out when | suddenly stopped him once more with my

words. “Please... make sure her grace is ok.” He scowled slightly, obviously not taking a liking to Dylan much but

instead of reprimandingfor my words, he nodded his head, and followed the gamma out of the room.

“Just go to bed tonight, hopefully we can have sform of conversation with her tomorrow, tonight she is

clearly too distraught.” Adrian seemed trouble by the events that had taken place, the news report had gotten to

us all, but he seemed to be on this self righteous mission to save her. | had no idea he held her in such regard,

but | do know that Jana was getting slightly jealous of his devotion.

The next morning, we all got up as usual and ready for school, | looked up from my breakfast plate though, as

spoons as Dylan entered, she looked lifeless, her skin had a sickly grey tinge to it, and her hair was a brushed

mess on her head, her eyes were red and bloodshot, while under them had thick dark circles resting, she looked

like she’d had no sleep at all, her right cheek had the start of a faint black eye, and both cheeks were once again

stained with tears. | dropped my fork instantly at the sight of her which caused the others sat nearto gasp at

what | was seeing

The king followed her and lead her to the table where a simple glass of water rested in front of her. He kissed the

top of her head which in turn made yet another tear escape her.

“Ahh, alpha Adrian, just the man | was hoping to see. The king must be insane, he was acting so chipper, as if he

hadn’t just murdered his mates mom, he was acting more like a child after they win a prize.

“And why is that your grace?” Adrian knew not to anger the king, he quickly took his eyes of the silently weeping

queen to address the king in his full glory.

“You, and your sisters mate won't be attending school today!” Oh now my curiosity had been peaked, | look to

Adrian who stole a quick glance to me, then back to the king.

“What is it you mean by that?” The king smiled and draped his am over Dylan's shoulders, jostling her slightly in

his glee.

“My queen, is going to need an escort to her old home. With her mother gone the place needs to be emptied. I'm

sure you have a young human couple waiting to start their life in new accommodation.” | watched Dylan’s hands

slowly curl into fists at how easily King Josh had dismissed her mother, but her anger didn’t last at all long. She

quickly unclenched her palms and scrunched her eyebrows up in sorrow turning her head away slightly.
