Chapter 56 - Logan's Surprise

A Couple Of Days Later.

Lacey's POV

I've always dreamed of having that picture-perfect Christmas with my friends and family but most importantly with my kids and Logan

Even if we weren't a couple and we were just co-parents, I always hoped that one day we could be civil enough to give our children the best

Christmas ever

This year, my dream is sort of coming true and it's a very bittersweet feeling because I'm gonna be celebrating Christmas with my husband

and my children who will be having the best one ever according to them

On the flip side, I'd love to celebrate it with my family but I highly doubt the rift between me and my family can be healed in time and I

refuse to rush myself in my healing process or in forgiving them just to celebrate one day with them, a day that comes around every year

might I add, so we won't be having a complete family Christmas this year but maybe one year down the line we will

Anyway, despite this, I'm still determined to have a perfect Christmas with my little family and with Logan's family, I may even invite my

grandparents around for dinner on Christmas day but it all depends on whether they're spending the day with my parents or not

Right now, I'm in my kitchen listening to some festive music while cooking a three-course meal for a family dinner I'm having tonight with

Logan, the triplets, Carmella and Cade as the maids set up the dining room for us

“Mummy, can you play that song again, please?”

My princess Teddy asks me

"What song, baby?"

“The Christmas song, mum"

Well, that narrows it down to at least a thousand songs, my love

“So, where are your brothers anyway? and why aren't you with them? normally you three are stuck at the hip with each other"

Teddy says and I smile

"So, is that why you're down here hanging out with your momma, huh? because your brothers are busy with their games?"

Task whilst faking a whimper and a sob

“I've gotta say that hurts my heart, Teddy Louise...I can't believe you'd treat your poor mother like this"

Ifake cry for extra dramatics and Teddy chuckles

“Don't get upset mummy, you're my number one mum"

“I'm your only mom, Teddy"

“Exactly but I've got two brothers who have to battle each other over who's my favourite brother, so you should be grateful”

She says with a cheeky smirk and I chuckle

This kid is nuts

“Speaking of my favourites, where's daddy?"

“He's at work, remember, he should be home soon though”

I remember when we were in our teens, Logan got pissy with me because he caught me eating a pizza with a knife and fork and he wouldn't

In my defence I hate grease, more specifically, I hate touching it, so

that's why I was eating a pizza this way

"You know daddy could never stay angry with you guys, especially over something as silly as that"

“As silly as what?"

Ihear my husband's deep, husky voice say as he walks into the kitchen looking like a damn Gucci model

“DADDY!” Teddy screams as she gets up and runs over to her dad

"Hi, princess”

Logan greets our daughter as he picks her up, he then walks over to

me and wraps his arm around my waist as he kisses my cheek

“Hey, baby" Hi, love" Logan kisses my lips and I sighed in contentment

“So, what were my two favourite girls talking about?"

“Oh nothing, our daughter was just wondering if you're still mad at her and the boys for the little prank they pulled on you at your parent's

"Wait, so it's ok for people to get belligerent and dance on my heritage

When we were left alone, Logan caged me in against the kitchen island and buried his face in my neck
