Khal walked out of the woods' shadow with a relaxed smile while he held his Devil Fangs in his hand with composure.
"Who are you?" the guy with the spare raised his weapon, showing visible hostility toward Khal.
"Oh? This is how you show gratitude for saving yours and your friend's life?" Khal raised his eyebrow, but did nothing else at all.
"Calm down Neal, he is not our enemy." the guy who was just saved by Khal stopped his friend, Neal, from attacking before glancing at Khal and asked with a friendly smile, "Can I know your name?"
Khal was surprised by the guy's calm and decent behavior, which was rare to see, but still smiled and said, "You can call me Khal."
"Khal, I see." the guy nodded then bowed and said, "Then Khal, thank you very much for saving my life, I will definitely pay you back in the future. If it weren't for you, I would be already lying on the ground in a pond of cold blood.
"As for my friend...." the guy glanced at Neal before sighing, "Please forgive his rudeness. He can hardly trust people for specific reasons."
"Hey, Gar!" Neal exclaimed out with irritation, but once he saw Gar's sharp and dead serious gaze, he knew he has to shut his mouth tight.
Hence, once he realized his mistake, Neal lowered his spear and bowed gently too, but his eyes still held a kind of coldness toward Khal, telling him he was yet to trust him fully.
Khal obviously noticed this, but as he knew Neal was not a threat for him he just simply ignored him before pointing at the Thunder Spirit's body, which was gradually turning into Beast Essence.
"I hope you don't mind if I consume that."

"Of course not! You have killed it so it is only natural for you to consume its Essence."
"I see, thank you." Khal smiled and without saying anything else he quickly walked over and began to consume the Thunder Spirit's Essence.
The two guys seeing Khal's carefree behavior looked at each other in silence, their confused thoughts apparent in both of their eyes.
"Just who is this guy? Even though he is before the two of us, he acts as though we are nothing more but ants. Can't he recognize that both of us are on the Seventh Cultivation Stage?" Neal asked his friend in a low voice.
Gar nodded in silence, as he too felt it was strange. When Khal revealed himself after he saved his life, the very first thing he noticed was Khal's cultivation base, which was non-existent!
However, knowing that Khal was definitely not older than them, even a few years younger, he felt it was simply impossible for Khal to have a higher cultivation base even if he used some miraculous item or Talent to conceal his strength.
"I don't know either, but for some reason, his name feels familiar to me." Gar pondered loudly, and soon his eyes widened with shock, "Wait, Khal. Isn't he the guy from the Thousand Life Tournament?"
"Yeah, you are right!" nodded Neal, but soon frowned with confusion, "But at that time wasn't the only at the Fourth Cultivation Stage? How come he was able to kill the Thunder Spirit?"
As that realization hit the two, both fell into silence, pondering just how could have Khal kill the Thunder Spirit so easily.
However, what neither of the two knew was that even if Khal would have been on the First Cultivation Stage, with his Soul Piercer, killing the Thunder Spirit with a single hit would not pose him a problem at all. Even a creature on the Ninth Stage could do nothing but die helplessly if it were hit by one of his arrows.
The two waited in silence for Khal to finish consuming the Essence, and it wasn't long before Khal finally opened his eyes and stood up from the ground.

'Not bad.'
Khal couldn't help but smile as he stared at his status, feeling happy that he became even stronger since he started his journey toward the Western Continent.
It has been an entire week since he left Moon City, and ever since then he did nothing but complete his quests daily while also turning almost 90% of his consumed Beast Essences into his Body Essence.
Of course, he did daily necessities such as eating and sleeping day-to-day as he came across several cities on his way where he could, but most of the time he concentrated on getting stronger.
Right now, even though he was just only at the Eight Cultivation Stage, there was hardly anyone who could threaten his life!
After taking one final glance at his status Khal turned to look at the two before him and asked, "Where do you guys head to?"
"We are currently heading to Seashell City," replied Gar calmly.
"You guys too? What a coincidence." Khal smiled calmly.
"Yeah. We have a mission there we have to complete, so we are heading there all the way from Blazing Dragon City." Gar said, his sword no longer in his hand as he understood that Khal was not hostile toward them.
"Blazing Dragon City? Isn't it on the very other side of the Southern Continent?" Khal widened his eyes with shock.
Gar however nodded, and with a bittersweet smile said, "Unfortunately, it is."
"Then since how long are you guys traveling?" Khal asked with curiosity, but the answer caught him completely out of his guard.
"Exactly for a month so far."
Khal remained silent, staring at the two before him with a pondering look, trying to figure out just what kind of mission could have they accept that required them to travel all the way to Seashell City from the other side of the Southern Continent.
