Chapter 93
Alexander POV.
The moment | left Christiana’s hospital room, my chest tightened with the fury | had been holding back. It
simmered, bubbling beneath the surface, threatening to explode. | barely registered in the hallway as | walked,
the smell of hospital clinging to the air, the distant sound of hospital life blurring into white noise. The only thing
| could hear, feel, was the searing rage coursing throughlike wildfire..
| needed to get out. | needed space.
The parking lot was quiet, the streetlights had shadows over the rows of cars. | found mine quickly and got in,
slamming the door behind me, The moment | was inside, the dam broke. My fists clenched the steering wheel so
tightly | could feel the grooves digging into my palms, grounding me, barely keepingtethered to reality.
“Bianca.” Her nwas a curse on my lips. | spat it out, my voice low and venomous.
How could | have been so blind? We dated for six years, yet | was too blind and stupid to see the real her. It was
after the breakup, she went after my ex wife out of jealousy.
| slammed my fist against the dashboard, my breath coming out in harsh, ragged bursts. “Goddammit!” The
sound of my voice filled the car, but it didn’t relieve the pressure. It wasn’t enough.
My mind flashed to Christiana, to the way she had looked in that hospital bed so fragile, so broken. | had seen
fear in her eyes before, but this? This was different. She had been through something unimaginable, something
that should never have happened. And it was Bianca's fault. Bianca had sent men to kidnap the mother of my
children. She had put Christiana through hell, all because of her sick obsession.
| grit my teeth, my knuckles turning white as | gripped the steering wheel tighter. The images kept flooding
back.. Christiana’s tears, her trembling voice, the way her body had curled in on itself when she talked about
what had happened. The fear she'd felt... that | had failed to protect her from.
| let out a bitter laugh, shaking my head. “I should've seen it. | should've known
Bianca. Of all people. Who | thought had the sweetest personality. This was beyond anything | could have
imagined. She had crossed a line. no, she had obliterated it. And now, all | could see was red.
| leaned back against the seat, running a hand through my hair, trying to calm the storm inside me. But the more
| thought about it, the more my anger built, coiling tighter and tighter until it felt like | would snap.
She took it too far. She won't get away with this.
| had to be smart. | had to control the rage burning throughbecause if | didn’t, | knew I'd do something
reckless. Something that could make things worse. But it was hard to think straight when all | wanted to do was
hunt her down and make her pay for every second of pain she had caused.
| slammed the steering wheel again, harder this time. “Damn you, Bianca!” My chest heaved, my breath ragged
“You're going to regret this.”
The thought of confronting her, of seeing that smug, manipulative face when she realized she was caught... it
only fueled the fire inside me. She thought she could control everything, pull the strings like spuppet
master, but she had underestimated me. She had underestimated what | would do to protect my family.
| closed my eyes, trying to focus, to rein in the rage threatening to consme. | couldn't let it blind me. Bianca
was smart. too smart to leave loose ends. But this time, she'd gone too far. She'd left a trail, and | would follow
it. | would find every person involved, every bastard she’d paid, and | would make sure they all paid.
A cruel smile tugged at my lips. “You won't seecoming, Bianca. But when I'm through with you...” I let the

what was mine. And | would destroy her for it.
My phone buzzed on the passenger seat, pullingback to the present. | glanced at the screen, seeing James
nflash across it. Good. | had work to do. There were calls to be made, people to be tracked down.
| picked up the phone, my voice steady, but filled with a dark promise. “James, | need you to start digging.
Bianca crossed the line, and | want to know everything. Everyone involved. No one left unturned.”
| ended the call and tossed the phone back onto the seat, my mind already racing with plans, with the steps |
would take to. bring her down. This wasn’t over-not by a long shot..
And when | was done. Bianca would know what real fear felt like.
| sat at the diner booth, staring out the window as the hum of the city buzzed around me. My coffee sat
untouched, steam rising from the mug in lazy spirals. This wasn’t a social meeting. Bianca had no idea what was
coming. | knew her too well. knew her ability to twist a situation into whatever suited her. But today, | wasn’t
going to be fooled.
She arrived on time, walking into the diner with her usual grace, and for a moment, | had to remind myself why |
was here. Bianca looked bright and beautiful, her hair styled perfectly, her smile wide as she approached. Her
eyes sparkled with warmth, as if we were old friends catching up. She even waved to a few of the staff, acting
like she owned the place. | almost questioned myself. Could this really be the woman who orchestrated such a
monstrous act?
“Alex” she beamed, sliding into the seat across from me. “It’s been a while. You look good.” She smiled, her
expression soft, friendly even. | felt the corners of my mouth twitch in response, but I didn’t allow myself to
return the warmth. Not this time.
“Bianca” My voice was flat, controlled. She didn’t seem to notice the coolness, her own smile remaining steady
as she reached for the menu.
“This place,” she mused, looking around. “You always did pick the best spots for a meeting. It's cozy. Reminds
| felt a surge of anger rise in my chest, but | pushed it down. | wasn’t here to reminisce. “I'm not here for small
talk, Bianca.” said sharply.
She blinked, looking up atwith wide eyes, still smiling “Oh, of course. | just thought we could catch up a little
before we get into anything serious. I've missed you, Alex.”
| couldn’t stop myself from laughing. The sound was bitter, harsh, and it cut through the false atmosphere she
was trying to create. “Missed me?” | shook my head, leaning forward. “You can drop the act.”
Bianca's smile faltered just for a second before she recovered. She set the menu down and leaned back in her
seat, crossing her legs and folding her hands on the table. “What's this about then?”
1 stared at her, my jaw tight. “Christiana.
At that, her expression froze. But it was subtle, a slight twitch of her lips, a flicker of surprise in her eyes. She
recovered quickly. Though, shaking her head with a soft laugh. “Christiana? What about her?”
“She toldeverything.” | said, watching her closely.
Her brows knitted together in confusion, her head tilting slightly “Everything? | don’t understand.”

| wasn’t playing games. | leaped in closer, my voice dropping. Don’t play innocent, Bianca. Christiana told me
you sent men to kidnap her. To torture her. The mother of my children. My children.
For a moment, she looked genuinely shocked. Her eyes widened, and her mouth parted as if the very idea was
absurd. She blinked at me, completely dumbfounded. “Kidnap? Alex, are you serious? | would never... Why would
| ever do something like that?” Her voice was soft, pleading, as if she couldn't believe | would accuse her of such
a thing.
| clenched my jaw, staring her down. “Don’t lie to me. Christiana toldit was you. And | believe her.”
Bianca's eyes filled with disbelief, her face scrunching in gemine confusion. She placed a hand on her chest, her
voice trembling. “Alex, | swear on my life. | don’t know what you're talking about. |
W never hurt Christiana. You have to
believe me. She must be mistaken, or maybe someone's trying to setup. But | had nothing to do with this!”
She was good. I'll give her that. The way she looked at me, so earnest, so sincere...it would've fooled anyone
else. But not me. | knew Christiana, and | knew she would never lie toabout something this serious.

Bianca's eyes followed my gaze, and realization dawned on her face. Panic flashed across her features, and she
shot up from her seat her hands raised slightly. “Alex, what are you doing?
The officers reached us, their hands already moving to cuff her Bianca jerked away, her eyes wild with shock.
“No! No, this is a mistake! | didn’t do anything! Alex, tell them! Please!”
| stood, watching her as the officers moved in. One of them recited her rights. “Bianca Marshall, you're under

But | didn’t respond. Because | knew the truth. And no amount of lies or desperate pleas would change that.
