Kaia POV

I'm angry at everyone.

At Father, for him so easily putting his life on the line, | get it, she was his daughter and he spent years thinking

she was dead. He wanted to show her what a father's love is, that he can protect her...keep her safe. But that

doesn't stop the anger rising in the pit of my stomach, anger hiding my true feelings... intense worry.

Even Alora, she said she didn't want this, that she wouldn't agree. That it would make no difference now, so why

put Father's life at risk. Because that's what was going to happen, he isn't strong enough for this. Which leaves

the question....me.

| can feel him followingup the stairs, most of my anger aimed at him. | wanted to shake him to see sense.

"Get out!" | seethe at Hector which earns a raised eyebrow from him.

He finally moves, listening to me, and | breathe a sigh of relief thinking he is leaving when he doesn't, he moves

to the side of my bed, inspecting my bedside table. Inspecting the picture of my mother. Realising he wouldn't be

leaving any tsoon, | close the door behind is, moving myself towards my window.

A chuckle escapes him when | open the window, his scent was already overly perfuming the room. My eyes glare

daggers at him, wondering what he found so amusing.

"She can't die Kaia you must see that.." His humour vanishes when my expression remains murderous. His hands

gently placing my treasured photo frback down, before he moves closer to me.

"Of course | know that Hector, she is my sister after all. But | at least expected you to be against this.." "You

think | want her to be cut open?"

"Then do something..." | growl at him, my hands tearing at my hair.

Why was everyone only saying words but not taking any action.

"Do what?"

"Stop it, stop them from making this bad mistake. I'll do it...I'll give my kidney instead!"

"We are going to Shadow Rock pack. he has attacked my mate's pack and will not be given another chance." His

hand surprisingly moves slowly from my lips, his thumb pulling at my lower lip.
