"And you didn't even have your soul essence shared with Everlight to try something that caused your death again. You are not a careless person, so why?" Isabella narrowed her brows.

Despite the possibilities and implications, the others also shared Mingzhi's sentiments as they glared at Davis, causing him to reel as he took a step back in a conscience-stricken state.

He was already more powerful than anyone they had seen in the immortal world. Even Myria nor Nyx Godwin, who was ranked first in the Aurora Cloud Gate's Immortal Rankings, weren't a match for him, so why was there a need for him to be this suicidal in attempting to increase his prowess?

Davis also understood this matter, and even their emotions towards him only wished for him to stay alive, so that was why he couldn't reply immediately. However, he took a deep breath and dropped his smile.

Davis alleviated their concerns with his words, causing Evelynn and the others to finally heave a sigh of relief.

He wasn't lying as his imagination stopped with imagination this time. Everyone turned to look at Lereza, waiting for her reply that was of the utmost importance, but also, they realized that every life jade that Davis had poured a bit of his soul essence into must've broken, causing them to worry if their people back in the Grand Beginnings Continent would worry to death, not to mention the Aurora Cloud Gate that might come to investigate soon.
