A man and a woman sat around Davis and the Aurora Cloud Gate's Patriarch.

They both wore black-white robes, signifying their relationship as a couple, but more than that, the embroidery and the patterns on the robe signified the powers they possessed as the woman had the symbol of yin-yang and the man possessed a plain symmetrical pattern of black and white not fit into any shape or form.

Davis glanced at them again.

He certainly didn't expect to run into them here but soon felt that it was perfect.

These two were obviously Guardian Elysian Veritas and Guardian Zera Nullheart. The man had black hair, while the woman had black-white hair. However, one of the man's pupils was black, and the other white.

Even a roadside stranger could tell these two were closely related, almost thinking they were siblings, but he knew that was not the case as these were direct traits of their physiques.

Guardian Elysian Veritas is the possessor of the Twilight Illuminator Physique. It allowed him to use both light and darkness energy at the same time, even fuse it to give birth to Twilight Laws.

And then, there was Guardian Zera Nullheart, the possessor of the Discordant Nexus Physique, which allowed her to use yin and yang energy at the same time, even fuse it to give birth to Yin-Yang Laws.

Davis's gaze returned to the Aurora Cloud Gate's Patriarch, who sat opposite to him.

It was no wonder this person had such an overpowered prowess.

"I don't have a physique like father and mother. Everything you see here is one hundred percent self-created."

The Aurora Cloud Gate's Patriarch seemed to know what he was thinking and gestured at himself with much pride.

"What a joke." Guardian Elysian Veritas mocked, "Even if you didn't inherit our physiques, you still inherited our talents, so shut the hell up and practice cultivation more. It's not too late to show off if you could become half as strong as the Emperor of Death."

"You-!"

The Aurora Cloud Gate's Patriarch pointed his hand at his father but then quickly took it back as though it was going to be severed as he hid it behind him. He grumbled about it and turned to look at Davis, smiling.

"Oh, I have yet to officially introduce myself to you. My apologies. You may have heard of me or my titles, but my real name is Aizen Veritas. It is good to meet a person of your caliber. As for this old fellow, you don't need to care about him."

"Actually, I was searching for Guardian Elysian Veritas."

Davis turned to look at the side, causing the Aurora Cloud Gate's Patriarch, Aizen Veritas, to blink before he nodded.

"Alright, then go ahead and talk to them. If you want me to leave, then I will take my leave."

"It's fine." Davis shook his head, "I don't want to take much time when parents are putting in the effort to bond with their overgrown children."

"…"

The room turned silent, but Davis acted like he couldn't read the atmosphere.

"Guardian Elysian Veritas, I hear you mutated your Twilight Illuminator Physique from the Malevolent Darkness Soul Physique. Is that true?"

"Who told you that?" Guardian Elysian Veritas turned to look at Guardian Zera Nullheart before he returned his gaze to Davis.

"Or was it Lavea Jenn?"

"Neither. It was Saintess Lunaria." Davis answered without batting an eyelid.

"So the Saintess is still with us…"

On the other hand, the Patriarch Aizen Veritas appeared quite moved.

The rumor that Saintess Lunaria appeared at the Emperor of Death's wedding with two female dragons appeared to be true.

However, his comment made Davis blink at him as he didn't expect the Patriarch to not know. Considering their family situation, he guessed that they were keeping their distance from one another for the most part.

On the other hand, Guardian Elysian Veritas instantly looked respectful.

"Since it was the case, the Saintess must have a reason for me to educate you. Speak. Why do you want to know?"

Davis nodded and explained his situation.

His situation shocked Guardian Elysian Veritas as he didn't expect four people with Malevolent Darkness Soul Physiques to appear in Davis's family.

"Is your life and death soul also a mutation from the Malevolent Darkness Soul Physique?"

Guardian Zera Nullheart asked, but Davis shook his head.

"I see."

She didn't prod deeper, causing Guardian Elysian Veritas to narrow his eyes.

"So you want to know the method to allow their Malevolent Darkness Souls to mutate to their advantage just like Lavea Jenn?"

"Yes."

Davis nodded heavily.

The Malevolent Darkness Soul was a ticking time bomb that would influence emotions and make them negative, and he already had seen enough to know it would prove to be fatal at a crucial moment, even if it didn't influence anything all year long.

"…"

Guardian Elysian Veritas went silent.

He seemed to be speaking with Guardian Zera Nullheart, although he couldn't sense any soul undulations from them due to the cultivation difference. They were extremely stronger than him and could match Calypsea's prowess; they may even be able to barely kill her if they worked together.

However, he was proud of Calypsea for being that strong already when she was not even a month old.

Just as all of them were silent, Patriarch Aizen Veritas removed his mask, revealing his handsome face.

The mask also seemed to be woven with some perception-distorting features, so when he took it off, his eyes seemed to glow like the refraction of a diamond, containing all kinds of light that made Davis blink.

He once again thought this person was too powerful.

From what Patriarch Aizen Veritas said, he didn't have a physique, and neither did he seem to have a bloodline, so this should be the effort of his own comprehension. But in what?

'Light Laws…?'

Davis felt curious as his people from the Reaper Soul Legion all trained in Light Laws.

"How long have you been staying in the Immortal King Stage?"

"I knew you would recognize my greatness."

Patriarch Aizen Veritas seemed very happy from his question as he went off, "I'm two hundred and twenty years old, but I stayed in this realm for over two hundred years, giving my best to increase my prowess by leaps and bounds through-"

"Father! I heard you exited seclusion. Where are you?"

A melodious voice full of joy echoed in the hall as a white-robed woman flew into the residence.

Patriarch Aizen Veritas, who was delighted to speak about his experiences, wasn't annoyed but went joyful as his eyes went wide, and he stood up like a bolt of lightning, turning to look at the white-robed woman.

"My little child! Oh! How much did I miss you!?"

He opened his arms wide and welcomed her, but halfway, the white-robed woman stopped and became wary of the guests in the hall.

She appeared to not even know Guardian Elysian Veritas and Guardian Zera Nullheart, but Davis could see they were both full of emotions for her. Clearly, she was their grandchild.

It seemed like he interrupted their reunion, making him feel bad.

However, Davis narrowed his eyes at that woman as she seemed to be pointing at him.

"Ah-! It- it's you!"

The white-robed woman pointed at him and growled as though she had some kind of past with him, causing Davis to blink.

However, his eyes slowly widened as memories came flooding back, causing him to remember the time when he met a curious female disciple whom he thought was a troublemaker like Tegon Zenflame and Egon Zenflame.

[

"You… are you really Davis Alstreim?"

"Move, or don't blame me for being ruthless."

"How rude. You are indeed as the rumors described you to be. Self-serving and arrogant. It wouldn't be strange if you were evil as well. Hmph!"

]

Davis came out of his reverie and smiled.

"Oh, it's you, the girl whom I threatened when I first entered the Aurora Cloud Gate…"

"What!?"

Abruptly, three swords appeared out of nowhere and pointed at Davis, causing him to lean back slightly and raise his hands in surrender.

"It was a misunderstanding… I promise…"
