3402 Led Into A Trap?

Davis blinked.

He was in the mini realm that the Voidslime Realm Eater had almost finished consuming.

Its mandibles plunged deep into the fabric of space. With each suction, it pulled the realm into its body, causing its surroundings to quiver and reverberate. However, not a single time did the fabric of space shatter.

Heck, even the spatial channel that was supposed to be a large distance away moved along with the fabric of space, appearing closer.

It was as though its mandibles contained spatial energy that strengthened- no, spread an adhesive that disallowed it to break. "Marvelous..."

Looking around, Davis saw that this mini realm currently amounted to no more than two hundred meters tall and wide. Everything was converging towards the Voidslime Realm Eater and would eventually end up in its stomach.

If he stood on the ground, he was dragged along with the fabric of space.

If he flew, then the decreasing volume of the realm pulled him closer and closer to the maws of the spatial menace.

Walking closer, he leaned toward a white-robed cultivator and patted his shoulder. Seeing that this person didn't wake up, he directly sent a kick. It connected, causing Davis to swirl around as he used the momentum to carry the man like he was handling a football.

"Ahhh!"bender

That person screamed in pain and was sent flying directly into the spatial vortex.

As for the eleven other cultivators, Davis either woke them up or sent them flying like this man. Since they survived, they were all going to be great spatial cultivators as long as they didn't die, perhaps even having equal or even better insights than the Godwin Family.

After all, they got to witness and sink deep into focus because of the Voidslime Realm Eater's predatory trap, but since they survived, the benefits now belonged to them.

Needless to say, he had already sent his women out of this mini- realm, leaving him alone with the Voidslime Realm Eater.

It still didn't give a single glance at him, thoroughly looking down on him as it seemed to have come to the conclusion that he was harmless.

Davis didn't mind.

He also exited the mini realm but not without leaving a soul body to observe till the end.

He had a feeling that the final suction would reveal its true power.

"Many thanks, senior! Without your help, my life-"

"Scram!"

Davis directly roared at the man he saved, causing him to shriek and escape like he had met a monster.

Obviously, that person recognized that he was the Emperor of Death, and Davis didn't want karma to settle on him as he, an Anarchic Divergent, had saved him. Even if his women, who had a normal status, helped them, he imagined that they would still be inflicted with karmic burden because he oversaw this realm and had it under control.

On another note, even though he did have control, the Voidslime Realm Eater wasn't aware of it and still thought it had everything under control.

As expected, half an hour later, the spatial vortex shuddered, and the gelatinous spatial body of the Voidslime Realm Eater wiggled out like, shit.

The very sight of it had Davis wanting to turn away and vomit, but he kept his gaze wide open, knowing that his soul body had been devoured by it at the last second before it made its way out. From barely being able to survive inside its body using the Deathward Seacloak Dominion and observing it from inside its maws in combination with observing it from the outside, Davis had his head filled with numerous insights as he saw it stitch the inside and outside of the fabric of space with its mandibles and gulp in one fell move as it enlarged like a balloon.

*Rumble~*

A comprehension phenomenon descended as the heavens acknowledged he had comprehended Level Two Abstruse Intent of Space Laws.

At the same time, the Voidslime Realm Eater plopped onto the grassy surface and began to shudder.

It froze like it had encountered something threatening, but it didn't seem to be the case as its undulations underwent a change. Spatial waves enveloped the region as it didn't bother hiding its undulations.

Its otherworldly aura was noticed by everyone, and countless cultivators rushed to this space as they wanted to check what was going on, imagining if it was a treasure or hoping it was a treasure that would change their lives.

However, the closer they got, the more they realized it wasn't just a spatial fluctuation of a treasure but the aura of a living thing, making them aghast as they came to know it was a High Stage Immortal Emperor Lifeform.

"Vile beast, die!"

However, one supposed hero who saw the Voidslime Realm Eater roared in self-righteous fury and smashed his hammer against it.

He seemed to be a Level Three Immortal Emperor and looked quite old, possibly a recluse who abandoned his cultivation, but embedded within his expression was hatred. It was possible that someone important to him had gotten eaten by the Voidslime Realm Eater.

Despite his hammer landing on the Voidslime Realm Eater with an intense force, it simply bent as though it was extremely plushy and malleable. The Level Three Immortal Emperor poured all his energy into the hammer, but eventually, he just sunk along with his hammer as he was sucked into the Voidslime Realm Eater's body.

Not even a trace of his flesh was left as he instantly disintegrated into the digestive spatial belly of the Voidslime Realm Eater.

Davis saw this scene from inside the same digestive body of the Voidslime Realm Eater before his divine technique shattered, causing him to be devoured as well.

The pain was tremendous, but Davis endured it to fully understand what kind of properties it had command over in order to be devouring so efficiently.

He gained enough distance and was observing it from a mountain peak.

On the other hand, everyone turned aghast over this scene and fled, trying to inform their people of the potential dangers.

The Voidslime Realm Eater made some slushing noises as it seemed to be looking around. He was hidden using the Hateless Ghost Emperor Steps, so it was unable to find him while the others had long gone. By all right, it should've gone after the ones who had escaped, but instead, it checked its surroundings, its spatial undulations producing waves.

These waves naturally passed through him, even finding him, but it appeared to have mistook him for a corpse because of his death aura. It was cautiously surveying its surroundings as though making sure no one was looking before it finally jumped into the air.

It didn't fly but directly squeezed into the fabric of space, appearing to leave this space.

Davis quickly jumped from the peak and appeared at the node it squeezed through, causing him to raise his hand and feel the path it took.

He imagined if Stella was here, she would've been able to garner in an instant where it escaped to, but he was struggling to find the spatial route it took. But soon enough, his efforts paid off, and he managed to trace its path.

Using Space Laws, he opened a spatial vortex and followed in its direction.

A few seconds later, he came out of the spatial vortex but only managed to stumble upon a desert, making him blink.

Had he lost track of it?

Davis's expression turned somber. He tried to feel the space around him but couldn't sense anything strange. He counted himself unlucky and chose to use soul sense to garner where he was, but even when his sense spread a hundred thousand kilometers, he was unable to find anything other than barren lands and volcanic mountains that seemed to have gone dormant or dead long back.

"..!"

A vein popped up in Davis's forehead, knowing he had lost sight of it.

The Voidslime Realm Eater was just too sneaky, causing him to feel that he needed the Void Dust Empress's help right now.

*Crack!~*

However, he sent a punch into the void.

He shattered the space with a chaotic fist and jumped into the chaotic world of space as he refused to give up. Countless spatial blades tried to cleave him into pieces, but he had just entered the fourth layer and wouldn't be harmed that much. He continued shielding himself and cleaving through the layers with annihilative winds before he eventually found sight of a large sphere within the chaotic region.

He was both shocked and delighted to see the Voidslime Realm Eater penetrate into that large sphere, which he recognized to be a mini-realm; shocked because it was doing something inconceivable as it was near impossible to enter mini-realms without accessing nodes and delighted because he had found it.

Still, it didn't take long for it to squeeze through, and Davis followed suit before the wound it made could close, causing him to enter.

Quickly, the chaotic space around him turned normal, and he landed on the ground right beside the Voidslime Realm Eater that seemed to stare at him as its gelatinous spatial body seemed to have frozen instead of wobbling like a slime's.

It seemed to recognize him from the previous mini-realm, but Davis smiled at it and disappeared, leaving it confused as its maws looked around as though sensing the void with its mouth as it gave off spatial undulations like an echo.

However, its undulations seemed to have caught the denizen's attention, causing some Immortal Emperor undulations to shoot toward it from different directions.

Davis was also surprised to see that this mini-realm was occupied. Clearly, the Voidslime Realm Eater had chosen a better target to eat, seemingly capable of having the ability to detect realms to consume. It was no wonder Stella said that it could be considered a Void Dust Tree's natural enemy.

Soon, Davis saw the denizens of this mini-realm appear before they carefully surveyed the threat.

"...!"

But he was thoroughly dumbfounded when he saw the appearances of the Immortal Emperors and recognized their aura to be familiar once they were closer.

'Holy shit... the Cyan Soul Rat Clan had hidden themselves here!?'
