"Mhm…? Big brother landed near Jadedrite Sword Mini Realm while following the Voidslime Realm Eater…?"
Tia blinked as she heard the news from Mingzhi.
She had returned to the Aurora Cloud Gate's island to carry on with her cultivation and Natalya's adventure.
Naturally, she was paying attention to everyone's moves, especially Davis's. She was their family's karmic guardian, after all. Therefore, she had to consider all aspects of the threat before she could entertain the thoughts of doing something and heading toward a new venture.
A karmic guardian for a family was more like that of a person who shields the family from karmic attacks or curses. They were called Karmic Protectors and were also at the forefront of many ceremonies.
Not anyone could handle it as their weight held more than the Patriarch's, leading to needless squabbles sometimes, and since they peered into the secrets of the heavens, their lifespan was rather small. There were rarely any Mystic Diviners in the many factions other than the places where they could congregate, like the Heaven Gazing Hall.
Otherwise, they would find it hard to keep themselves alive.
Reselius Zenflame had long gotten rid of his clan's Mystic Diviner, as they might interfere with his preposterous work. Therefore, the Fire Phoenix Clan didn't have a Karmic Protector for a long time.
However, Tia was rarely affected by such burdens due to her physique, and everyone trusted her, so her life wasn't in much danger compared to the Karmic Protectors of other factions.
Nonetheless, the things she learned right now put her in a bind as a few things suddenly clicked in her mind.
She was gifted or cursed with a story and emotions from the future.
With that as a base, she could see through the general direction where they were headed and what they needed to avoid. But now, she saw something that could vastly change their fate, or rather, the fate of one person.
But to avoid it, another sacrifice needs to be made.
'No… it shouldn't be this way….'
Tia shook her head with a difficult expression on her face, wanting to go meet Davis but not knowing if she was really guessing it right or not as this matter couldn't be dealt lightly.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtSchleya made the sealed Xerax unconscious and took him away to be held in imprisonment. The Reaper Soul Legion was going to jail him in their new underground cell in their new city. Schleya knew he probably wouldn't have a good death as this family tended to torture their most hated enemies, not that she felt any discomfort about it as this was common to her.
On the other hand, Davis's soul body killed the Grand Elders who had gone to gather sacrifices to disturb the Voidslime Realm Eater. He gathered the most powerful Cyan Soul Rats left alive and told them that they had two choices.
One was for them to become his slaves.
Of course, he was only going to enslave a few of them, and they would enslave the rest of the race. This would result in him not having to incur that much psyche on controlling them.
He further imposed many restrictions on their growth and movements, making this seem like a bad choice, so there came the second choice for the save, one that didn't bother Davis and his family or have a chance to contact their higher-ranked species in the true immortal world.
It was for them to continue their plan of residing here for a hundred thousand years. In other words, they were going to be imprisoned without having a chance to see the First Haven World for a hundred thousand years.
Davis was sure that he could have Stella restore stability to this secret realm, so this worked in everyone's favor.
The Cyan Den Mini Realm would essentially become a cage for these people, and he guessed that it was enough time for them to repent for their clan's aggression against him.
From what he saw, this mini realm was good and could certainly support a few billion people easily. The Cyan Soul Rat Clan's population was no more than a few million, so he was not worried, and even if they were to fight amongst themselves for resources later on, he didn't care.
To be honest, they could kill themselves in the future for all he cared, but not in front of his eyes.
Without him in the scene, they could've escaped the Voidslime Realm Eater since it wouldn't bother munching on people if they were not threats or disturbing it, so in his mind, he had already given them a way out. They were not his responsibility anymore.
Leaving them with two choices, he returned to see the Voidslime Realm Eater still eating and had the urge to thank it.
After all, it exposed the Cyan Soul Rat Clan and gave many insights into Space Laws, such that he was even able to draw trash spatial runes despite not being that knowledgeable in runic arts.
His runic arts- or rather, inscription arts were still in the Peak Emperor Grade. He never had time to improve it, but fortunately, he witnessed the rats inscribing spatial runes on the formation core, so all he had to do was imitate them.
He had enough soul force to do it and managed to etch the formation core with spatial runes after getting past a few mistakes.
The Voidslime Realm Eater seemed to be useful in devouring mini-realms and, perhaps, even realms in the future.
He wished that he could tame it, but considering this was a Void Class Calamity with less intelligence like the Unfettered Gargantuan Ice Fiend, he guessed taming it was almost impossible unless it was Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow, who seemed to have mysterious ways to tame many odd lifeforms.
Besides, Stella needed its carcass, and he could take its core.
Things were already decided, so he couldn't back out now.
"Stella… Stella… what's taking so long…?"
Davis waited. It had been one more day, and the Cyan Soul Rat Clan had decided.
They had chosen the second choice, deciding to stay sealed in this mini realm for a hundred thousand years. If they were to ever come out, they declared that they wouldn't have any intention to make things worse for him and, if they did, wouldn't complain if they were eradicated and continued to thank him profusely by kowtowing even after he left.
It could be seen that they realized what kind of chance they had been given.
Whether they could utilize this magnanimity or not and grow into a fine clan was something unknown, and Davis didn't care. He went as far as to plunder all their treasuries anyway, leaving them poor. This could count as compensation for the troubles their higher-ups had given him.
He had also looted the three Immortal Inheritances from hidden palaces in other corners of the mini realm. There were quite a few high-quality light-attributed armaments, artifacts, formations, ingredients, materials, constructs, pills, and manuals.
This could help his Reaper Soul Legion a bit, as obtaining treasures at the Immortal Emperor Grade was difficult even if he had immortal crystals.
Sadly, there were no heavenly resources, but there were a few Divine Techniques which he could try comprehending or have others comprehend.
As for the immortal crystals, he didn't bother to count.
"Ahhh~ I'm sorry for being late~"
Another day later, Stella's voice finally resounded in Davis's ears.
He turned to look at the unstable spatial tunnel and actually saw her pass through without much pressure- no, as she crossed, purple rays shot out of her body and stretched into the empty void like tendrils, relieving the pressure as she crossed like she owned the space.
"…"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDavis couldn't help but grin as he saw how effortlessly she traversed. It was proof of what he thought.
A Void Dust Tree could indeed stabilize a spatial tunnel and, possibly, even a mini realm. As soon as she appeared before him, he asked her the same question.
"Mhm~ I could stabilize this realm. This mini realm seems to have more lifespan and hasn't been damaged much but is being devoured by the Voidslime Realm Eater, so while devouring, it already stabilized the mini realm a bit. It shouldn't cost me for more than a few days to stabilize this realm."
"Excellent."
Davis sighed. Now, the Cyan Soul Rat Clan's remnants could finally live in their cage without coming out, and he wouldn't have to slaughter them down to their offspring.
He felt this was good, so he patted Stella's shoulder and turned to look into the distance.
"Now, let's go hunt that spatial menace."
"Yes!~"
Stella was also excited.
She had reached the Level Five Immortal Emperor Stage after sacrificing her fruit growth rate a bit and cultivating faster, so she was intent on defeating the Voidslime Realm Eater and absorbing its carcass. If she could do so, then all the sacrifices she made wouldn't be much of a concern!
Soon, they appeared above the Voidslime Realm Eater and saw it still sucking on the fabric of space.
Stella knew if she unleashed her technique, she could successfully cause its mandibles to be stuck in the fabric of space as she essentially could strengthen the space around her.
"Wait…"
But before she could start, Davis waved his hand, stopping her.
Stella inclined her head in confusion but then saw him frown and take out a messaging talisman.
"My Emperor, Evelynn, is going to give birth. If you're not busy, please come~"
Davis could hear the voice of Isabella through Mingzhi's messaging talisman, causing him to shudder.
