Ethan’s Vengeance of Love

“That is absolutely impressive of him, then.”

Bradley was so tempted to give the man a thumbs up. “This SIM card was from seven years ago and it’s an easy-

own SIM card, so back then, they didn’t need to provide their identification card to obtain this card. They could

purchase it from any convenience store and there are no monthly charges for this card too. Charges would only

apply if they made a phone call, but it costs more to make a call. I’ve just checked and this card was obtained seven

years ago but hasn’t been used for over seven years. In the past, there was one hundred worth of credit inside the

card initially, so it was maintained till today and can be used right now.”

“That is truly an impressive move.”

Caleb felt that there were a lot of strange things going on today. This SIM card was registered seven years ago; no

identification card was required and it could even be obtained from any convenience store. So, what was the point

of investigating, then? Which family would retain such an ancient phone number?!

“Which rooftop?” Ethan, who had maintained his silence all this while suddenly voiced out without much emotion in

his deep eyes. He also spoke in a calm voice and one could not tell his current emotions either.

Liam replied, “It was at Regal Residence.”

“Regal Residence is a high-end residential area and non-residents aren’t generally allowed to enter the place.”

Caleb instantly caught on to the main point and also figured out a potentially very important piece of information. “I

recall that Regal Residence is a property under the control of the Glenn Family.”

The Glenn Family was Alice’s maternal grandparents’ family, so this was a critical piece of information!

Earlier on, the person on the other end of the line had mentioned that he was closely related to the woman that

night from seven years ago.

If that woman from seven years ago was actually Alice, then the person who had placed the phone call was quite

likely to be living at Regal Residence.

“Find out the details of all of the residents staying at Regal Residence. If there aren’t any suspicious characters that

you can identify, then expand your investigation to the surrounding areas.” Ethan curved his lips slightly.

He reckoned that the person definitely would not be too far away from the rooftop.

“He used a voice modifying device to mask his voice, so his voice must be distinctive. It would be quite easy for his

identity and features to be revealed, so we could investigate this clue specifically. For example, a child…” Ethan was

a formidable person once he focused his intentions on something.

Ethan took the cell phone in his hand and studied it. The other party was cautious in his actions, so it was pretty

much impossible for the person to leave his fingerprints on the phone.

“Go over to the rooftop and obtain the person’s footprint to analyze it. After that, find a way to obtain the footprint

of every member in each household and analyze them.”

It was possible to mask a fingerprint, but surely there was no way of masking a footprint. Even if they had on

someone else’s shoes, ultimately, they had to return home too. So, Ethan was confident that he would be able to

get to the bottom of things.

Meanwhile, Caleb grimaced slightly. Mr. Knight’s ruthless! He doesn’t give his enemies any chance at all!

Nonetheless, this behavior definitely matched Ethan’s resolute personality.

Although this way was tedious, it was undeniably effective.

How dare this kid challenge Mr. Knight! He should pay the price and experience the consequences of offending Mr.

Knight. It would be lucky enough for him to remain alive after this!

At that moment, the cell phone in Ethan’s hand suddenly lit up and two words appeared on the widescreen of the

cell phone. ‘You lost!’

The two exceptionally large words were very prominent.

Caleb stood closest to Ethan, so he clearly saw the two words displayed on the cell phone. For a moment there, he

was shocked. This kid is gutsy! There is nothing we can do since he escaped, but how dare he provoke Mr. Knight so

arrogantly! How in the world was this kid brought up?!

As for Ethan, he glanced at the two words on the screen of the phone and laughed. This arrogant and cocky

attitude felt rather familiar to him. It was pretty much the same attitude displayed by that woman from that night

seven years ago.

Seven years ago, that woman had handcuffed him to the bed and he clearly remembered her arrogance and

cockiness as she left the place. It looks like the person who placed the phone call is most likely to be closely related

to Little Fox… or could even be Little Fox. This is a clue handed over to me by coincidence.

Earlier on, Ethan had already given the instructions and Caleb was tasked to handle the matter of Sophia’s assault,

so Bradley and Sam led their men to deal with the footprint. This was a task that required finesse, so even though

they were well-equipped and very efficient, it would take time to complete the job.

Meanwhile, Apollo was completely oblivious to the further events that occurred around Ethan. Apollo was an

obedient child, so he heeded his mom’s words and did not stay up late. As such, he went to bed right after making

the phone call.

Early morning the next day, Sophia started to kick up a fuss again. She contacted the members of the press and

complained to them, “The report from the hospital is out and I suffered a severe concussion. There is also some

internal bleeding inside. I feel dizzy, nauseous, and my vision’s blurry. Alice is such a vicious person! She intended to

kill me by assaulting me. She’s after my life! The doctor mentioned that I could lose my life any moment now, so

Alice must be quite pleased, huh? I’m about to die.”

Elijah revealed an upset expression. “Old Mrs. Woland is in a bad condition right now and things are critical. Alice is

such an insolent girl! How could she bear to do such a vicious thing?”

Emma stood by Sophia’s bedside and kept her company as she pacified her in a gentle tone. Though Emma

appeared to be a considerate and obedient granddaughter, she kept the side of her eyes fixated on the phone in

her hands.

As soon as Emma noticed that every comment on the live broadcast of the news was full of condemning words

toward Alice, she revealed a pleased smile. This time, Alice is utterly doomed and she will have no way of turning

the tides.

Meanwhile, Caleb finally sorted out everything after working tirelessly through the night. At 8.30AM, he came over

and reported back to Ethan, “The video is ready and I’ve contacted the press. I’ve also sorted out some internet

ghostwriters and the ‘witnesses’ from the Woland Family are sorted too. The video will be released at 9.00AM.”

Coincidentally, it was the weekend today, so it was unwise to release the news too early because there would not

be much attention at such an early hour, thus leading to a lackluster effect.

“Although we won’t be able to clarify everything for Miss Woland, at least the comments won’t be one-sided, so it

should be…”

Caleb was reporting the situation when suddenly, he noticed a live news broadcast on the internet. For a moment

there, he was stunned to the point that he found himself at a loss for words

“This old lady is intent on pushing Miss Woland to the brink of despair. She has completely cut off the means of

survival for Miss Woland!”

Caleb had expected the Woland Family to continue pursuing the matter, perhaps even continuing to kick up a fuss.

Yet, clearly, he did not expect Sophia to make such a vicious move.

The old lady actually told the members of the press that her life was in danger after being assaulted by Alice?!

As a result, the nature of this matter had changed and it was no longer the issue of whether Alice had assaulted

Sophia or not; the main issue right now was that Alice had intended to kill her. This involved familial love and

respect, especially for an eighty-year-old grandma whose life was now endangered! With these three main issues

looming ahead, there was no way Alice would be able to survive this.

“How can you call someone like this family? With a family like this, no one would need enemies!” Caleb was so

tempted to hurl abuses. “Now that Old Mrs. Woland did this, Miss Woland would be in a much more precarious

position. ”

Meanwhile, the arrangements he had made would most likely fail to achieve the effect he envisioned. After all,

Sophia’s life was endangered and she was on the brink of death. Allegedly.
