Still not replying, Ethan clutched the dossier tighter while looking at it, not moving nor opening it.

“Boss, actually, Alice isn’t much different than the rumors. From a young age, she wasn’t too smart, for her grades

were always at the back of the class. She’s not a social person; she kept to herself too and rarely showed up in

public. The Yeagers, who had an engagement with her, were getting more dissatisfied with her. It was then they

wanted to renounce the engagement. Alice went abroad with her grandfather when she was twelve and did not

return until she was seventeen. During these five years, she had been accompanying the Glenn couple without

even attending school. After she came back, she sat in the national exams and got the lowest score in history.”

Although Chris investigated her very thoroughly, the Wolands had hid a lot of things from the public, so only a

this. The Woland Group officially changes ownership. Bruce Yeager will be heading the Woland Group as the new

president.”

“Is this her capability you were speaking about? Before they even got married, she already gave him the company.”

“Woland Group is Bruce’s now? Is that real?” Caleb was stunned and looked at Ethan instinctively, only to see a hint

“Of course, it’s real. There’s an ongoing press conference at Woland Group.” Chris clicked on a media livestream,

which was the press conference of Woland Group.

“From today onward, I will be the president of Woland Group. It is my honor and responsibility to succeed in this

position. I will work hard to elevate the company to the next level.” Bruce’s voice came from the phone upon

playing the livestream.

This made Ethan’s cold gaze turn even colder.

“Mr. Yeager, do you mean that everything in Woland Group will be now under you?” Due to the suddenness in the

hosting of the press conference, the journalists were a bit perplexed.

“Yes. Before the wedding, Alice had already signed the papers to hand Woland Group in its entirety to me.” When

Bruce said this, one could hear him trying to suppress the excitement and smugness inside.

“Mr. Yeager, although the wedding between you and Alice did not happen, why is the company still transferred to

you? Doesn’t she have any regrets regarding this?” As the livestream was still ongoing, one of the journalists

addressed the elephant in the room.

“She doesn’t. Alice transferred the company to me 100% willingly. About this, you can ask Mr. Thomas Spica. He is

the lawyer for Woland Group and in charge of the change of equity this time.” Bruce was feeling very high up and

smug, for the Woland Group was finally his.

Due to the issue of the illegitimate child at the wedding, his father also transferred ten percent of Yeager Corp to

his name.

Everything is just going so swimmingly.

With a stoic expression, Thomas wore the aura of a professional. “About the equity change, I had confirmed with

Miss Woland before the wedding and she agreed to it willingly. After the wedding, I had called her for the next step

and she said to proceed as planned.”

Ethan narrowed his eyes, thinking that with how Alice did things, she would never allow Woland Group to get swept

away by anyone.

Not by Elijah or the Yeagers.

After all, Alice always had Woland Group firmly in her grasp during the toughest past seven years of her life.

But now, it belongs to Bruce!!!

“Why did Miss Woland still transfer the company to Bruce, even though the wedding was canceled? Could this

lawyer be lying?” Caleb was suspicious about everything he heard.

“He isn’t. I know the fella. He won’t lie for Bruce. Also, Alice could simply expose them with a single word. As a

lawyer, he won’t do something so reckless, so this really must be Alice’s intentions.” Chris analyzed the situation

rationally.

“But, why would Miss Woland do this? It doesn’t make sense.” This situation confused Caleb.

“Because she’s stupid. With the wedding ending in shambles, she actually still can’t see through the despicable

facade of the Yeagers and foolishly gave Woland Group to Bruce. She really is the stupidest person I’ve seen,” Chris

remarked harshly while smirking.

Turning around, Ethan glanced at him.

“I’m not wrong, Boss!” As Chris felt his cold gaze upon him, he was perplexed.

Caleb, upon seeing Ethan’s reaction, breathed out in secret. It has already come to this, yet Mr. Knight is still trying

to stand up for her.

Then, Liam, who had stayed silent, suddenly stated, “It might be because of love. You said that Alice is head over

heels for Bruce and can’t live without him, right?”

This made Caleb’s mouth twitch. Is Liam planning his suicide?

He’s practically begging for his death!

As expected, Ethan set a killer gaze on Liam and even Caleb could feel the bloodlust.

At this point, the livestream was still continuing with Bruce’s smug voice coming through the speakers.

Ethan felt stuffy in his chest while he looked once more at the dossier. In the end, he chose to open it.

The first page was the information on the child with the photo attached at the very top. When his gaze swept across

the picture, Ethan’s expression changed as his calm eyes wandered about, failing to regain peace.

“Caleb, schedule a paternity test, asap!” Ethan did not bother to hide his anxiety, since he could not hide it. If one

listened closely, they would notice a hint of panic in his voice.
