Chapter 35 The next morning, Kayson joined Easton to depart for Capital Building Material Corp. with the contract.

On the other hand, Sadie took out her phone to make a call while she was at the company. “Hello, Mr.

Young. I’m Sadie Wolfenden from Wolfenden Corp.”

“Ah! It’s you, Ms. Wolfenden!” Kenneth chuckled on the other end of the call and said,” You’re calling

me so early in the morning, to what do I owe the pleasure?”

The matter would determine the survival of The Tetrad, but she did not have the courage to make it

sound like a big deal. She said in a very gentle tone, “This is the situation, Mr. Young..

There’s a project which we’ve collaborated on previously that has already come to a full completion.

“We are sending over two staff members with the contract from our side”

Upon hearing that, Kenneth immediately interrupted by saying, “Ms. Wolfenden. I’m afraid that this is a

slightly difficult situation for me because I’m running short of money recently.

“Hence, I will need an extension from you for a few days. Come on, we’re old friends. You’re not going

Sadie continued to speak patiently. “Mr. Young, we do respect you for sure. It’s just that the project has

been completed for more than six months. Why don’t you sign the contract first?” Kenneth sounded

displeased upon hearing that. “Why are you doing this, Ms. Wolfenden? Are you scared that I won’t pay

the money?”

“Mr. Young, that’s not my intention”

Kenneth was scrolling through his phone aimlessly in Capital Building Material Corp. when he

sniggered. “They’re desperate just like how Mr. Lawson described them to be!” He dialed Trevor’s

number. “Mr. Lawson, it’s me, Kenneth.”

“Mr. Young!”

“Mr. Lawson, Sadie just called me up, and she has found herself in a tight spot just as expected.”

“Hehehe, everything is well within my prediction.”

“Anyone who comes to see me after this, shall I just kick them out right away?” asked Kenneth. “Hmm,

just ignoring them will do,” said Trevor while smiling nonchalantly. “Sure. It’s been a pleasure working

with you.” “The pleasure’s mine.”

Kenneth tossed the phone aside and leaned against the office chair while he cracked a leisurely smile.

Meanwhile, his female secretary walked into the room. “Mr. Young, someone is here to see you

downstairs. They claim they are from Wolfenden Corp’s projects department.”

Kenneth sat upright instantly and asked with a strange gaze, “Who did you say again?”

“They’re from Wolfenden Corp.”

Kenneth was stunned for a moment before he sneered. ‘F*ck, is Sadie sick in the head or something?

How dare she send someone over still?’

He sniggered and said, “Kick them out! If they have the audacity to take a step into the building, have

someone break their legs!”
