Chapter 346 - Shopping
"Hmm..you folks got quite the collection here"
After passing through nooks and crannies inside the underground mansion, Michael and the goon had successfully arrived inside a large room full of weapons.
The place is adorned with weapon racks and wall-mounted racks full of weapons on display, from guns to even swords.
Even flint flock guns are on display!
Michael walked around the room, inspecting the various guns in the display, while the goon, called Jones, followed just behind him.
’Are people from the main headquarters really that dangerous? Even the Madam had chosen not to punish this person for him blasphemous behavior earlier’ Jones thought to himself as he kept a close watch on Michael.
And at the same time, he can finally understand the reason why the Madam had chosen to remain neutral back then, which saved her and their branch from death.
Then suddenly from the corner of his eyes, Michael saw something which quickly attracted his attention as he quickly walked over towards it.
"Wait, isn’t this Hitler’s Golden Gun? How come you guys have this thing and is this actually for sale!?" said Michael with astonishment as he came before a wooden rack meant for display containing a pistol adorned in gold plating.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHitler’s Golden Gun was a rumored famous gun that was once held by a famous tyrant ruler by name of Hitler in a country in the west called, Deutschland.
Rumored to be the gun that he used to kill himself during the Warring Era when they lost the war.
And now, it is considered one of the most expensive historical items.
"Stop! How dare those filthy hands touch that precious treasure!?"
Michael was about to pick up the golden gun when a loud yell from behind them startled him so bad that he quickly pulled his hands back as he quickly turned around to see whose loud voice it belonged to.
The man has short black hair, and his facial clearly is different from the locals here as Michael can clearly see that this person is a Westerner from his looks and from the way he carried himself as he walked towards them.
The man ignored him and instead looked at Jones and said, "What are you doing here, Jones? And who is this rude person?"
"Rude!?"
Michael couldn’t help but retort in annoyance as he truly felt that the people here are even more annoying than Randy, ever!
Jones just nonchalantly opened his mouth and said, "Ohh, Gark, he’s from the headquarters. He’s here to purchase some toys"
Gark raised an eyebrow from what Jones said and looked at Michael from head to toe with an examining gaze.
"Alright, what do you need?" said Gark after a few seconds of silence in the room.
Michael lightly smiled and started walking around, a blatant act of ignoring him.
Gark didn’t say anything and just frowned as he watched Michael from a distance.
"How rude" Gark mumbled to himself, while Jones just shook his head, knowing that Gark is actually the one acting rude, and sometimes, even he feels annoyed at him from time to time.
’I really wonder why the Madam allowed this half breed to manage the armory’
Most members of this branch of Continental actually don’t like people who aren’t of pure descent of their home country, because they think that this kind of people takes the good jobs and good women.
But Michael who had heard about it from the others thinks it’s just a stupid excuse because it’s plain as day that they’re just jealous of them, talk about being a racist.
Michael then spotted a very familiar sniper rifle and quickly walked over towards it and grabbed it, and started checking out the weapon by looking through its scopes, checking its magazine, its charging handle, and how it fits on his shoulder.
It was a bolt action sniper rifle called DTA Stealth Recon Scout.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"I like this one, I’ll take it, and give me a Heckler & Koch P30L"
Gark, as a professional walked towards a corner and took a Heckler & Koch P30L from inside one of the weapons cabinet, and gestured for Michael to walk over to the table in the middle of the room.
Then Gark pulled out a briefcase and opened it, where there’s foam mold for a handgun inside. He placed the handgun inside it and turned it to the front so Michael can inspect it.
Michael came over and placed the sniper rifle on the table, and inspected the handgun, from where he nodded in affirmation.
"One fifty gram of gold bullion for the Heckler & Koch P30L and two, one kilogram of gold bullion for the DTA Stealth Recon Scout," said Gark after Michael over.
Michael nodded, and pulled out a small box from his pockets, where it contained a few pieces of gold in billions of different sizes, which is another standard of payment aside from underworld gold coins that’s mostly in circulation within their circle.
Jones, who saw the gold bullions that Michael possesses couldn’t but gulp in envy, as gold bullions in the underworld are more valuable than their gold coin counterpart because their worth comes with the social contract they represent, which is something hard to get as they have their own serial numbers, and no one would dare copy them if they still want to live.
Gark nodded and accepted the payment, and after that, he pulled out a guitar case from the back with a real guitar inside it and placed the DTA Stealth Recon Scout on the compartment underneath.
Gark then presented the two cases to Michael, who took it from him without saying anything as he turned around and started leaving.
"Mr. Grey"
Gark suddenly called out to Michael which made him stop and turn his head around as he looked at him.
"Do enjoy...your tea"
Michael scoffed with a smile as he couldn’t help but be a little bit amazed at the professionalism of this person as he still didn’t forget his manners to their customers, even though his first impression was annoyingly rude.
So he just gave him a small nod and left the building under the stares of people he passed by who gave him weird looks because of what he is carrying, especially inside this kind of establishment.
