Chapter 1186
Manley was decked out in black from head to toe; even his earrings were black. Despite looking pretty hardcore, his
handsome face gave off a cool yet captivating aura.
He wrapped his arms around Estelle, letting out a long sigh. “Finally, I can relax!”
Estelle lightly pushed him away. “When did you get back? Why didn’t you call me?”
“I just got back; I hadn’t even been sitting for an hour before I thought I’d surprise you!” Manley smiled, grabbing
Estelle’s chin. “Let’s see, have you lost weight?”
“No!” Estelle swatted his hand away and said, “Quit being a smooth talker!”
Manley kept his smile, but his eyes held a different meaning: “I just got back and you’re already giving me grief?
Don’t you care about what I’ve been up to? As soon as I heard about you and Gwen, I hopped on the first plane
back!”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtEstelle let out a faint smile and said, “That’s all in the past now.”
“But I just saw the news back home yesterday.” Manley’s face turned serious. “How’s Gwen?”
“Not sure; I haven’t heard from her recently!”
Manley smirked. “Gwen put you through hell, and Jonathan just let her off the hook?”
Estelle replied calmly, “Gwen’s in a worse situation than me!”
She turned to put the dessert in the dining room, then looked back at him and said, “It’s all in the past; don’t stir up
trouble!”
“Don’t worry, I won’t do anything. I’m not Jonathan; I’m not going to clean up his mess!”
Manley followed her to the back and said, “Go change; we’re going out for dinner!”
“No, you haven’t seen Emily in a while; let’s eat downstairs.” Estelle said casually.
“I want to be alone with you!” Manley whined, “I’m leaving tomorrow. I trekked all the way back here just to see
you; can we at least have dinner together?”
Estelle asked in surprise, “You’re leaving tomorrow?”
“Do you want me to stay? If you ask, I’ll stay even if the sky falls down!” Manley looked at her eagerly.
Estelle scoffed, “I can have you on a plane tonight!”
“You’re heartless!” Manley pushed her towards the bedroom to change: “Hurry, I sneaked back without my dad
knowing; I have to leave early tomorrow; don’t waste time.”
Estelle was pushed into the bedroom, and Manley quickly closed the door for her.
Less than three seconds later, the door opened again, and Estelle poked her head out, confused. “We’re just going
out for dinner; why do I need to change?”
“There’s a party tonight; we’re going to crash it; at least look presentable!” Manley laughed, walking in, opening
Estelle’s wardrobe, picking out a black off-shoulder dress for her, “This one!”
“What are you up to?” Estelle looked at him suspiciously and asked, “Why did you come back?”
“Of course for you!” Manley laughed, “Babe, don’t doubt your charm; go change!”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEstelle gave him a skeptical look, asked him to leave, changed her clothes, put her hair up, and put on light
makeup.
When she came out, Manley’s eyes lit up, and he openly complimented, “So beautiful!”
He walked over, sized her up, and seeing her high heels, he laughed, “Can you walk? I can help you down the
stairs.”
Estelle glanced at him and asked, “Are we going or not?”
‘Let’s go!” Manley grinned, holding Estelle’s hand as they left.
After getting in Manley’s car, Estelle called Emily, telling her they couldn’t have dinner tonight, and left some
dessert at her door.
After hanging up, Manley turned to ask, “How are Emily and Kya?”
“They’re good; Emily isn’t going back to Oakdale City.” Estelle said.
Manley seemed to have expected it; he chuckled, “It’s because of Charlie, right?”
“Yep!”
“Ever since Charlie saw Kya, I knew their story wasn’t over.”
