Chapter 1071 Bringing the Girl Home
The girl seemed young, probably around Henry's age, about eighteen or nineteen. Her eyes were still sleepy, but
the next moment, she became startled and hid behind Henry, asking, "Who is it?"
Clearly, neither of them expected Alivia to come back suddenly, so they were caught off guard, and they appeared
in front of her in a manner that every adult would understand what happened.
Alivia didn't know how to feel. She had never heard of Henry being in a relationship. Their family's financial situation
was not good, so she dropped out of school to work and earn money. On one hand, she saved money for her
mother's medical expenses, and on the other hand, she saved money for Henry's tuition. He knew this, so he
worked hard and never let them worry about him.
And now, he suddenly brought a girl home, and... Alivia looked away from the girl, trying not to make her

first.
Henry watched as Alivia entered the room, finally releasing the breath he had been holding in his chest. He turned
to look at the girl behind him and said, "Let's quickly tidy up."
The girl's face was filled with embarrassment, and once inside the room, she whispered in the complaint, "Why
didn't you tell me your sister was coming back? It's so awkward now..."
"My sister was on a business trip recently, and she didn't tell me she was coming back today. I had no idea!" Henry
was just as bewildered as her. The situation of being caught at home with a girl was incredibly awkward, "Anyway,
she's seen us now, so let's tidy up quickly."
After saying that, Henry bent down to pick up the used tissues and condoms scattered on the floor, quickly
gathering them together and throwing them into the trash can before securely tying the garbage bag.
Alivia closed the door after entering the room, still taken aback by the unexpected scene. She looked at the small
room, not even fifteen square meters in size, and the tiny single bed. Though old, the environment felt familiar. She
sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed.
This room had been her home since birth, about twenty-two years now. Her father passed away during her third
year of junior high school, leaving the house somewhat vacant. She had been living here ever since. She had never
thought this room was small before, but after spending some time abroad with Bert, she now found it a bit
cramped.
She couldn't help but smile wryly and shake her head. People, no matter how constant their hearts were, would still
be influenced by their surroundings.
The door of the house was a primitive wooden plank door with just one latch, not soundproof at all. As a result, she
could faintly hear the sound from the adjacent room being tidied up.
Alivia couldn't have imagined that her seemingly innocent younger brother would have a girlfriend and bring her
home. She knew Henry was already an adult, but as his elder sister, it was still difficult to accept this reality.

When she accidentally stumbled upon them, she didn't even have the courage to look into the room again, fearing
that she might see something she couldn't bear. So, she went into her own room and let them sort things out
themselves.
After about fifteen minutes, she heard faint sounds of the door opening and closing. A few seconds later, Henry's
voice came through the wooden door, "Alivia, she left."
Alivia stood up, took a few deep breaths, and then pulled the door open. Looking at the empty living room, she
glanced at Henry, who couldn't meet her gaze and walked over to sit on the small sofa.
He pointed to the single seat opposite him and said, "Sit down too."
Henry knew that he had done something wrong. He put his hands behind his back and bowed slightly, "No. I'd better
stand."
Alivia raised her voice, "Sit down!"
Reluctantly, Henry sat across from her, keeping his head down, too afraid to look at her. After hesitating for a while,
he stammered, "Alivia, I know I was wrong."
